HOW GOOD ARE THE JORDAN 8 PLAYOFF SNEAKERS?! (Early In Hand Review) 

8’s are definitely underrated, Need these for the collection. We definitely need a re-release on those bugs bunny’s!

The sleek silhouette and the crazy details make the 8’s one of my favorite J’s of all time. They also look amazing on feet. My only two complaints are that they crease easily and the suede is a dust magnet.

Hands down BEST jordan outsole.

Huge fan of the 8. These were my first ones back in 1993. For those wondering: these are modelled after the "China" version from 1993. Those had the slightly lighter difference in the underlaying blacks as well. The 7's had that too. Some factories back then used different materials with slightly different shades, so some factories had almost full black versions while of the play-off 7. While others factories had a clearly visible contrast...

These are my first J’s back in 93, and will be my last for a while as I focus on more important stuff. Here’s to hoping it’s an easy cop.

Def a fan of AJ8s myself , wouldn't say in my top top OG Jordan models but very appreciated and 8s will always have a special place for me as their original release in '93 being my first ever pair of Js (8 Aquas specifically). My shock drop pair from SNKRS hopefully coming in today. I love that 8s have such a retro / 90s feel with the different details (like patch on the tongue) , pops of color and interesting patterns in various areas and they are also quite comfortable imo as well. With 8s as with most Js i'm mostly about the OG colorways. Only drawbacks i'd say def more an autumn / winter sneaker as they are quite warm. Also , the materials / construction not the most durable / long lasting in my experience , so throw them on feet from the jump ; i've had 8s cracking in certain areas and fall apart earlier than expected , so just wear and enjoy them asap.

2013 had a black pull strap. 1993 OG version had the RED PULL STRAP. *My first Jordan EVER* ❤❤

This was the very first Jordan sneaker, in this exact colorway, I was ever able to own back in 93'. These are so nostalgic to me and are one of my all time grails!

Only shoe I’ve ever bought 3 different times in 3 separate colorways lol, always been a fan of the Air Jordan 8 style and colorfulness. Classic shoe 💯 just mad I bought the 2013 Playoffs on Stock X last year for $400 when I could’ve just copped these for retail, had no idea these were releasing🤦‍♂️

Foamie and Buckets since y’all grew up in NYC you know first hand how great of a feeling it is to wear 8s in the fall/winter, it’s one the perfect shoes for those seasons. 8s are some freaking tanks.

I was lucky enough to hit on the shock drop, wore them twice since and they are 🔥🔥🔥. I like the deep black color to them, no ashy black is always good, it allows the small hits of blue and red and white pop more. I love them they are definitely a shoe people should go for. They won’t disappoint

The Jordan 8 OG Playoffs have been a sought after pair for years, this silhouette was always my favorite retro, then me being a die hard retro 8s fan, these are a must cop for me. It’s definitely a representation. sneaker of the 90s that brings back so many nostalgia memories!!🔥🔥

I like that some of the OG models and colorways are slept on by the younger generation. Gives us older sneakerheads something different to be excited over and rock. 8s are one of my favorite #s, especially the Bugs bunnies but i never had these so i was very stoked to get my pair. Last really good pairs, are the OVOs, the 2017 cool grey, and the valentines womens ones. 🔥🔥🔥🔥

Got mine on shock drop. I un-DS'd them yesterday. Sooo freaking dope. And 8s are comfy to me. I hope these hold up for a while. I'm syill rocking 2015 aquad and 2013 bugs with no problems. Thank God. Its a small job taking care of old kicks lol. Gotta remember to pull em out and rock em from time to time. Wouldn't trade it tho. Love it!

Us OGs who had them back in '93 rocking them, and copped/copping again since then won't give a damn what people think of them. We could care less if nobody like them either. Brings back memories. Nike finally got these right with the red heel pull tab and not the black. They weren't Bugs Bunny inspired. Art and colors were inspired by Hip Hop urban wear and pop art culture back then.

My cousin had a pair of the OG's and this is the 1st pair of Jordans I put on feet back in 1992 and it was like putting my feet in a heavenly cloud. I was hooked then and 30 years later I got my pair on a shock drop! I'm doing the motorboat right now as we speak LOL.

I had a 2013 pair that I ended up trading last year for a pair of 2016 Flu Games. Felt bad because the playoff 8s were my first ever jordan, back in the early 90's, and they are super nostalgic, but I needed the Flu Games in the collection. Few months later, they announced these for 2023, and I've been fiending since. Thanks for the EA Nike, super stoked!

This is crazy. This shoe actually gave me that same itchy sensation Jordan was talking about. I believe it is because the shoe is to be worn in the winter season. They are the most comfortable jordans ever. But best to wear them in the cool weather, because in the summer time they make your feet sweat and thats what causes the athlete feet Jordan was referring to. Still a 🔥 shoe, but best to be worn in the winter because the suede quality is remarkable.

The bugs bunnies were my first pair as a kid I remember having. So these were a must have consolation prize. Glad I hit on shock drop.

Time to double up cause this my favorite colorway of the OG 8's. Aquas and Bugs Bunny's are true classics, but the playoffs however are just a bit better to me because of the colors and how much they pop. The red pull tab, just like the OG's makes this release so much better then the last, which I believe was 2013? The contrast of the red from the black just speaks volumes, and even if I have to pay resale for this release, I'm willing to do so.

Playoff 8’s are my favorite Jordan 8! I was glad to cop them on the Shock Drop from SNKRS! Next up Satin Breds!

I love the South Beach 8s. I slept on them when they first released but saw them in hand at nike outlet for $110 a couple of years ago. I've already worn them out and have been thinking about getting another pair, but prices have shot up.

Some people complaining about the under layer, I got mine already in-hand & imo it’s still nice. I personally believe it’s that material to try to make it little more breathable.

Very slept on so much so when it shocked dropped I didn’t attempt to get one for my 9 yr old son because I felt what I like is not what this young generation is into but when it releases on the 30th I’m getting him a pair thanks for helping me make a final decision 👍🏽
