赞！我只想加个小小的看法，这不是鸡蛋里挑骨头，只不过是个人鄙见而已：chess is indeed a "profession" for its top players. In the chess world, it is understood that there is a "professional" way to play chess, and a non-professional way. Even the style of former world champion Mikhail Tal, who played in the pre-professional era, is often described as "amateur" (I believe he himself described it this way). The "professional" approach involves playing moves that you've thoroughly researched and experimented with in advance; are approved by previous practice in that they score highly statistically; are approved by chess computers and AI as best; and which involve the lowest degree of risk. By contrast, Ding played a number of moves in this match that do not fit those descriptions. He played them for their surprise value, rather than their objective value. So in this case, I think the word he chose to contrast himself with Magnus was actually chosen deliberately and brings out a layer of meaning that would be lost without it.
