Today we are taking out the Canon 250D (Rebel SL3) into the real world and testing it to see how good it really is at wildlife photography. This is a compact but powerful camera and if you would like to see my full review at the desk then check it out here : ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-loQLCaLzYpA.html

Great shots of birds in your back garden. Smart way to use WiFi function. What’s the range ?
@TobyWoodPhoto
@TobyWoodPhoto 2 месяца назад
The connection is smooth within 10 meters but further than that and it starts to get lag. After 20 meters you will be lucky to get much connection. You can chose Bluetooth or WiFi connection and I'm not sure if there is a difference or if a Bluetooth extender is a possibility but they are things to research of you're interested

I love my 250D, my goal is to get the 150-600mm lens. I take flowers and birds mostly, and whatever catches my eye. Thanks for this review.

What budget do you have? It's a fantastic little camera and highly recommended however because of its plastic build you want to be careful buying one second hand, check the quality as best you can and only buy off of known, trustworthy sellers ie. MPB, Park Cameras, Wex Photo Digital

@@TobyWoodPhoto Yeah, it’s almost new and still has Canon warranty and bill. Seller is authentic And providing extra service warranty. I am from India so the price is around $ 600 ( including 55-250 mm IS STM lense). Nikon D5600 ( with 70-300mm lense & 18-55 mm ) is also same price around $ 500 . Any better alrernatives ? Thanks .

@AsitdyaDsr if it's a reliable dealer then you can't beat the 250D. When I started out, it was the camera I bought after months of research because it trumps every other camera for the price, so I say go for it!

Great video, I was thinking of getting the Canon 80d and Sigma 150-600mm I guess this is a slight step up from the 250D ? Also whats this rig like for hand held walking?, as I'm a little concerned about the weight. Thanks.
@TobyWoodPhoto
@TobyWoodPhoto Год назад
Yes a slight step up which'll only help! The weight is noticeable at first, it took me about a month to get used to it and not ache afterwards. But after 2 months I didn't even think about the weight and with such a large lense you won't find something lighter. Is worth every gram in my opinion

Neat video man, thanks! How does the camera perform with fast mooving birds in your experience? Do you use the electronic stabilizer for that or you just put high speed on the pictures?
@TobyWoodPhoto
@TobyWoodPhoto 2 года назад
I have had great experiences with fast moving birds and this camera. Birds in flight are difficult to photograph and to ensure a crisp photo I increase the shutterspeed to about 2000 (depending on the focal length) and move the lens in synchrony with the bird. A lower shutter speed will blur out the background if you move the camera and the bird at the same speed. I do use the stabiliser on my sigma 150-600mm C lens and this helps to keep the bird steadying the eyepiece making it easier to track. Thank you for asking and I hope this helped 👍

Nice vid. I have the same camera and lenses, but struggle a bit with image clarity (focus). Until now I've been using single point AF and relying on the viewfinder, shooting with aperture priority and manually setting ISO. Do you get better results using the screen and/or other autofocus modes?
@TobyWoodPhoto
@TobyWoodPhoto 2 года назад
I also use single point AF and the viewfinder. I have not experienced issues with focusing however I use full manual mode. This is just a suggestion, but I always use auto ISO (unless in a rare scenario) as it saves a lot of time when taking the photo. However the aperture can be manually controlled as it requires less changing from photo to photo. This is how I shoot and it works well but obviously your style is up to you. The screen does not give more accurate results in my research unless you use it to zoom into the subject and manual focus which can only be done in a controlled environment. I hope this helps 👍

This is the camera I use to do photography and the like on my channel and I use it to actually film the reaction videos I make so if you want to see how it performs then go take a look at them. Can I use Sigma 150-600mm lens in SL3?
@TobyWoodPhoto
@TobyWoodPhoto 2 года назад
Yes, the Sigma 150-600mm lens is compatible with the canon SL3 👍 in this video I use both of these together and you can see the results. If you would like to see more however the canon SL3 and Sigma 150-600mm is what I use for my wildlife walk vlogs and once again, you can see the photos and videos taken with them when used together. As I am sure you know, I have reviewed both the Sigma 150-600mm lens and the SL3 in there own, more detail videos, if you would like to know more. I hope this helps, thanks for asking 👍

I salled Zigma C 150-600 mm Lens because I buy Zigma S 150-600 mm Lens. Why because Zigma S version have a Image Stabilizer.
