I plug in 2 extra 120v to 12v converters into the the sockets to power more of my 12v electronics in my van and now i love my ecoflow even more, before i had to struggle with just 1 12v socket
You answered a few questions for me. I'm not electrical minded enough to build a proper system but I could mount the panel on the roof and use a power generator. Thanks.
Eco Flow should be very grateful for you Joseph. You are very thorough & explained details exceptionally well. I noticed Wild Wonderful Off Grid(WWOG)has been using Eco Flow too. Thanks for sharing your adventures with us. Cheers from Bend, Or. USA
Cool :) I have been looking at getting exactly this model myself - so good to see how it works from the perspective of a full-time vanner in PNW, in a smaller rig (I'm on the Sunshine Coast) I was worried about how big it was- but looks to be actually more compact
Thank you for sharing! I am trying to prep my van and rv for my next hurricane deployment. My build is not ready for a power system install yet. So I have been investigating my options!!!🤙✌
Solar generators like this are your fastest option. Another low key option is a small off grid system, like a EG4 5kw or 8kw unit with 1-4 Server rack batteries.
I’m waiting for my river 2 and 110w panel to arrive. I anticipate it’ll be exactly what I need to get on the road now. Maybe not my forever solution… but something 😊. Thanks Joseph.
@@SharingTheWild well that’s good to know! Your video using it out in front of the water was the inspiration!! Need something to charge camera, computer, phone and lights basically, for now. No knowledge of electrical systems… so had to go with a power station type deal. Anyway - thanks for the comment. Hope you’re having a lovely… morning, afternoon or evening!
Nice video! I just got the 1800W Delta 2 with 2 sided 220W solar panels for $ 999. I live in the high desert so i should be fine with this. There are so many options out there but im very happy with this!
I have the River Pro w/extra battery. I use an all in one Chinese diesel heater and it runs with no problem. It uses 45-60 watts to get running and then goes down to 1-12 watts and runs it well. FYI....
Delta 2 user for almost 8 months. Here is my review and pros and cons. Couple of things, the efficiency is around 80% so the total wh is around 800wh of real usage, it’s pretty noise while charging, though you can drop charging through the app to lower noise, Ups is not good. Not recommended for backing the computer as it’s too slow, and there have been reports of heat issues and power draining while using flow through and ups. Remember eco flow is Chinese and the Chinese are known for information fishing, and according to many people once you connect it to the app and the wifi it’s sending tons of personal information out to China, just like with anker. I have the delta 2, planning to add the extra battery as it’s on the Sumer sale rn, then get some solar panels. Pros life cycle of battery, Medium to light weight, 1800 watt pure inverter 2700 jump. Fast charging, solar inputs, expandable, app wifi and Bluetooth connectivity, software updates. Have used this to get by with rolling black outs. Worked for all my necessities and appliances, I am satisfied with the product, as my delta didn’t come with the batch that had major issues such as the River 2 series. Compared to the competition Such as Bluetti, and anker it’s neck and neck
@@Ohiostategenerationx in the end who really cares? Google/Meta/ has more info on you than the Govt. If the Chinese want to know how many cat videos I look at then good luck to them. 😂
It is a great unit. The new battery with longer cycle life is totally worth it. The feature you are looking for is the RV plug, which is available in the next model up the Delta Max. It’s a game changer in the sense that it’s grab and go. Gets you hooked up with power quickly. I have the older Delta (1300). It’s also a awesome unit. I should do a review on it.
I purchased a Delta 2 in November 2023. I've already had a PSDR Board failure after very mild use. I'm hoping it is just an anomaly. If they promote the battery life for 10 years worth of use etc. why not offer a compelling warranty to back the product. One year warranty doesn't fill me confidence my Delta 2 is going to go the distance. the battery may be useable but means nothing if everything attached to is fails. Time will tell. I'm postponing other ecoflow purchases until they have had a bit more time in the market and see how others experiences compare.
9.21.23 I just picked up the Ecoflow Delta 2 WITH the reserve Lipo4 Battery for $1098.00 UDS WooHoo !! I didn't really "NEED" it, but I'll keep it in the House for an Emergency, and then toss it in the Bug-Out-Camper to add to my M E G A System in the Rig.
I power mine with a ecoflow delta pro, with 3, 400watt solar panels. I also installed a diesel heater. I'm very happy with it. 😊 I have it all in a truck cap. I also have a 100 gallon diesel accessory tank. I can stay off road for weeks.
Hi Joseph. That was an awesome review! Very thorough and fully informative. Really appreciated by me, as I have been considering getting a unit for some time now. So, thank you. All the Very Best from NZ and take care there Joseph 🌞 🕊 🙋🏼♀️ 🚐 🌏
Wow, this Segway Portable PowerStation Cube Series sounds like an amazing product for outdoor enthusiasts like ourselves! With its massive capacity, fast recharge time, and waterproof design, it seems like the perfect tool for extended camping trips or as a backup power source for your RV. I'll definitely check it out. Thanks for sharing!
I have two Ecoflow's when one runs out the other will take its place until the other is full again! If the power goes out at home I use my Ecoflow to power my Starlink wifi so Im online at all times. Thanks for your time it was very helpful
I have been using this same eco flow for 5 years in my van. I had one die out 2 years into use. The company just replaces with a new one right away. Great customer service and I love my eco flow I can run a heating blanket and the TV all night during the winter.
Is it under warranty when replaced? I want to get it but also considering 4patriots. I want this for the price but kinda nervous because its made in china. Thanks in advance
Great review. Appresh. I'm in BC too, and just began full-time car camping (living in my car). I did a complete build out (camperized the car). I bought a jackery 500, but 3 weeks in I realized I need way more power. I just bought an ecoflow Delta 2 about an hour before I saw your video - damn! I got the prime days sale, so that was good. I subbed your channel.
Bro, it is 5:35pm at the time of this writing and Im going to make a cup of coffee cause you made it look good. The only thing missing is a Folgers coffee can for product placement. lol
Thank you for the review! I have the jackery 300 which I really enjoy but need to upgrade to something with a little bit more power. I'm debating on the jackery 2000 Pro especially cuz you can expand it with battery packs but it's nice to know that the ecoflow is also expandable even if it's limited I don't really need as much power as the big jackery but I do like the idea that you can get more power if you need to. Gives me some more to think about before I jump in and buy. Thank you!
For pete sake THANK YOU!! somebody who actually has it IN THE VAN. I just want to use it in the vehicle in hot and cold weather...just phone and fans .nothing fancy. Is it good in hot summer travel heat?
But every other RV'er claims Jackery is the god of power stations! Hands down, ECO Flow has the best products. I love their generators and never had a problem with them.
Hey Joseph, that was a fun video and that Eco Flo delta two is definitely a nice unit. I think it’s something you should even have in your home if you ever lose power in your home it’s awesome thanks for sharing you always make my day. Be safe out there.🇺🇸♥️😎🙏👍⛰️🚐🇨🇦
I used one of these on my two week van trip to Oregon and Washington last month. I used the portable solar panel. Note: YOU CAN charge these off the alternator using a DC to DC converter.
If I was going to trust anyone to review products and be honest, it be you, pal. Great job explaining things you can do with it and it's limits. I think these are interesting. Seems to be a good option for weekenders, or folks that vehicle camp but need to keep the inside stock for day to day.
EcoFlow has a high output DC port (30A) on the Delta Pro. This could be connected to a distribution box to power all the appliances in a van build. Bluetti and Goal Zero offer this as well, but similar to EcoFlow, only on the large power stations.
Im running the ecoflow mini, lithium series, its great for runnin the biz out of the storage unit but this unit is on my list for sure. 3k recharge cycles is freakin crazy.
What happens when one part fails inside and warranty is up? Wonder if it’s Servicable or just a 4K brick at that point . At least with a Victron system, you can replace anything and go another decade or 2
Thank you, for the review. I am interest to know how long it would take to charge via solar panels. Say from 50 % to 100% and 200 watt panels on a sunny day of course.
I live in a sticks and bricks, have 2 Jackery's (started out with them, years ago), 1 Bluette, and 4 EcoFlow's, all of varying sizes. What I don't like about the Jackery's is that their portable solar panels are proprietary, meaning they don't have the MC4 connector's. My understanding is that you can get adapter's, but I don't like having to buy additional accessories. The Bluette and EcoFlow's both use MC4 connectors, so am able to use with the much cheaper standard solar panels, right out of the box. The EcoFlow's are my favorite, because of the fast charge time (they are the fastest on the market), they have passthrough ability (you can use them while they are charging), are more cost effective than the Bluette, or Jackery, and I like EcoFlow's digtal display screens better. I've also found that EcoFlow has a refurbished collection, that comes with a free 2 year warranty. My latest purchase was a refurbished Delta Max 1600, that I got for $700 ($699). However, I've just learned that EcoFlow is no longer including the solar power cord with the unit, and that cord alone costs about $30. This doesn't affect me, since I already had 3, that used to come with each unit, but it is something to be aware of.
I've asked him to compare it to the jackery like chrome uses.. now I realize how foolish of a question that was..they both need their promo to continue in van life..I wish someone who had both would do a review though
I'm a homeless truck driver. Something like this would be a godsend in my truck. I want one but can't afford it cause I'm only workin like 2 days a week . Especially in this heat. I watch these guys do reviews on these and they have a whole wall of these generators behind them like they are showin them off. They should at least donate a couple of them to people like me. I'm out here busting ass to keep this country goin but no one really cares. Thanks for the vids. I've been watchin you for a minute now. Awesome
Better yet, Save the money you are going to spend on the solar panels And just buy a larger battery like the ecoflow pro 3600, then charge by a step up inveter. 12 to 24v @ 30 amps. Costs like $150. Plugs into same solar port & you get 400-450 watts of charge by just mounting 1 piece ( and a fuse for safety)
I’m trying to figure out how if I can charge a 24v lithium battery with a battery charger using Delta 2 max? I got the Delta plus the dc to dc charger but i need the 24v lithium to run my AC. How can i keep the 24v lithium battery charged? I only have 400w solar. I wont have access to grid power reliably.
No good for full timers you can’t rely on these things I found out the hard way they don’t offer service manuals and won’t sell you parts and it takes several weeks to get them replaced/repaired through the warranty, if you rely on power for day to day living you should build your own system with individual components that you can source easily and replace within a day or two
Oh really? I would not have guessed that. Don't you have a port for that sort of thing? If you're stuck with air only then maybe there's a way to bring one over via carry on luggage with a friend or something like that, but I'm not sure if airlines would have a capacity limit for batteries being taken on as carry on. Air cargo may work too, but I really don't know the rules for that sort of thing. Where there is a will there is a way.
