I don't know if anyone has mentioned this, but the reason for the spike in power at high revs is actually turbo lag. The road going NSX has a hybrid motor, with the battery filling in the gaps whilst the turbo spools up. Obviously the GT3 version isnt allowed this, so the power delivery is inconsistent, also why the weight distribution is a little odd for mid engined car because the heavy batteries are taken out. Love the video, and love the NSX, i always find myself going back to it every so often, such a beautiful and fun car :)
Great video mate. You should have a go in the Jag for your next one. Be interesting to see what you think. No one ever uses it, but I believe it to be very underrated and once you’ve tamed it, it’s a beast ✊
Thanks for covering my favorite car, you listened to my suggestion 😊 The car without many setup changes feels very stable and like you said, you can’t really get more turn in with braking or throttle. But this changes when you change the brake bias more forwarded and when you try to eliminate the understeer by raising the rear height for example. And I haven’t experienced that much problems with the torque on the higher end, we’re you running TC2 at around 8-9? You should be running TC2 at around 8 and normal TC at around 2.
Searched "acc nsx discussion. Got rig last year. Did 6months of GT3 ac w aliens and real drivers. Got ACC 5months ago. Been serious last 4. Just switched to nsx after 5months of just 488. This car mega. 126.9 doning, 157.4 silverstone, 142.9 watkins, 121.8 lagune 154 nurg, 144.8 sneter... this is "rookie" hands. Car has incredible deep braking, great rev range feel, great power in strat 4, smooth throttle map 1.
Yeah since I’ve been using NSX my lap times have been improving a lot. What did you say about strat 4 and throttle map 1 exactly? I don’t quite get that
@@magical5181 strat engine map 1 has best throttle response, safe and fast. Map 4 is the fastest but sharp throttle I think. Example silverstone when I leave the look and get Wellington straight, when car is straight, I go to strat 4, after maggots beckkets, I go to strat 4 So I've decided map 1 best for 80% of most tracks but going onto straights I will go map 4, then back to map 1 before the braking zone hope this make sense
@@magical5181FOR THE NSX only 1-4 is throttle mapping. The other cars I believe is what you originally thought but nsx is different. Blew my mind 5-8 or whatever is fuel saving, 8 being most, but car can actually stall in pits or even slowest corners be careful. If you want to run entire lap fast I'd go higher tc. If map 1 you good at 1-2 tc. Race map1, straights map 4, fuel saving map 8. Wet weather map 3. You will gain 1-3 tenths w map 4 and good exit onto straights
