@@PunknPixels Whisper was playable, but easely outclassed by other options. Tlord isn't the best either, but what makes it good is the ease of use, good ammo, just lay down the trigger. Whereas Whisper being a sniper is more skilled to use as you absolutely have to hit crits while having to deal with flinch. So basically hard ot use for a result you'd got way easier with other weapons.
protip on DARCI I learned from Aegis: if you're on Rain of Fire reloads, you can juuuust barely get back into scope before Target Acquired falls off, which saves some time dumping all the ammo. though, if you're going that far for DPS anyway, you'd just be better served with some other strategy I would think
Darci needs some help, they could turn it into an utilitary sniper, going further into the "scanning the ennemy" aspect and make it so when you scan a champion the sniper adapts to be able to stun him.
that won't make it any better or address the main issues with the weapon. The problem with snipers as a whole is that they're harder to use, and you can almost always get by without them. This is even worse for Darci, as it isn't good for damage, and doesn't even have a unique identity other than that it reads distance from and health of enemies
@@looksnormal Thats why I proposed this change. Is not great, I wont use it personally, but at least it would have an identity and a use. At least using it allows you to not care about champions anymore. Kinda like Arbalest, you dont use arbalest for the damage, its a support weapons for shields and barrier. Since Darci is a heavy weapon, I think it would be fair to make it counter all types of champions+ it works pretty well with the scanning identity of the weapon.
@@choloeseguay It's so that there is a point of reference for all these damage numbers. Microcosm is a fairly popular DPS option for The Witness, due to its decent DPS and importantly its ease of use, so it's familiar to a lot of players and would be a good benchmark. Knowing what's the best weapon in a certain category is meaningless without knowing how good that category is. It's like if I did testing of just manually reload dumping special GLs, there would certainly be one that's the "best special GL for dps", but that doesn't really mean anything. The original commenter obviously knows that Microcosm isn't a sniper. Edited because original reply was overly snarky, unnecessary regardless of whether your comment was sarcastic or not.
Microcosm does 1.1mil with the same kind of setup. Edit: it doesn't make sense to compare it here, It's something to compare to machine guns, as it is basically a really good machine gun. The thing is, machine guns overall aren't that good, but the add/subjugator clearing value would be discounted. Pretty sure whisper is gonna replace microcosm as the new most used non hunter setup.
I did the math so you don't have to - with the 33% Celestial still hunt nerf, it'll come to around 2.04mln damage (give or take) with the artifact boosts, and assuming you get the 3rd shot off vs Templar. Obviously take off scorch/meditation buff as artifact depricates
Wouldn't Precision Instrument Enhanced be better on Uzume? Lose the flat ~15% or so damage buff, but PI Enhanced goes up to 30%. Also like someone else said, you really want backup mag/mag perk to hit 6 in the mag (not sure if you can get to 8, and I think 7 gets you a single extra shot with FTTC).
I'm so happy my baby Whisper is back at the forefront of the meta. It's definitely gonna hurt as bad, or even worse than last time when it eventually gets nerfed into oblivion again
Great video. What do you think is the best load out for the “mid gamer”? Not the optimal one but the load out that will best allow for a few missed shots. Also, do you feel like running a non-solar sniper is still viable? The ignition damage is cool but not enough to demand only using solar? Thanks!
Why doesn't any youtubers doing dmg test use holster mods for still hunt, that makes it so you don't have to reaload at all cuz when you use super it reloads the whole mag, what youre looking for is to reload that one single bullet that's missing from the celestial shot
@@zhenblackburn1006 I thought the same! Someone just told me the ikelos got nerfed or something. I love the rapid fires and hate the feeling of adaptives like adored..
Yea, if he ran out of ammo with Rewind + Kinetic, then the extra rounds from Fourth times might have been higher. Depends on if those extra shots he would have got in would do more damage than the total dmg from his Kinetic tremors proccing.
@@SSD_Penumbraif he hadn't proced BnS switch a second time it would have had more damage. He did 6 shots less than the tremors one. Yesterday I saw crosses dmg test he did way more with BnS than tremors.
yeah because it takes time to proc, in the time he took to proc bait and switch he could have shot multiple sniper shots. bait and siwtch is better for total damage but not dps in this case
No one is going to use the Neomuna sniper for damage to be honest. It's a bad sub-archetype that requires much better perks to compensate for it. And it doesn't have those perks.
Olha aonde destiny 2 me levou, num canal bem longe de mim. fuzil laser pesado microcosmo é melhor forma de DPS na Riven, mesmo você sendo um caçador, ela ainda supera o dano das sniper
Tbh I wish you used a control or benchmark in every video without adding a ton of factors like surge mods, and transcence. Lots of people on the medium skill band want to find solid numbers to look at so they can judge what weapons (not loadouts) are best suited when in there optimal environment. Some times for your teams sake or for an individuals sake they need to forgo some mods fragments or exotic armor. With that in mind keeping doing better controls will help player's better understand just how powerful some guns are on there own vs how powerful they can be. It also helps us understand if a gun struggles without build synergy or if its just good on its own.
