I pray that the Lord, the Creator of the whole Universe who created us in His Own image for His Own Purpose to enjoy and to multiply on this planet earth, He will have an encounter with us today as He did in the life of Paul on the way to Damascus. Once we allow Him to run our affairs for us, we would understand the need to ask for Peace, Wisdom and Joy which money, wealth or fame can never buy. This again will give us the need to trust, love God with all our souls and praise Him always. Let us understand today that God is our Everything. He made it clear to us that No evil thing that is forged against shall prosper, let any one query us He has the answers. We are His People and He is our Father, He will have Mercy upon us. In addition, I urge us to pray for the Leaders of the every Nation that they will understand the need to turn to God for direction in all decisions. God Cares. Let us trust Him
Basically, this is musical crap! This performance relies so much on maintaining a regular guitar and drum rhythm that has NOTHING to do with the original composition, that you have lost any sense of what the song is really about. The lead singer is hushy and breathy and constricted. The female voice is concentrating very hard on her own little wavers, the other probably has a beautiful voice somewhere in him, but not here... it is all so horribly PRECIOUS!! Meanwhile, your audience is "singing along" (that is what you do when you are not REALLY singing). Shutting their eyes, or gazing to heaven while waving hands is a substitute for actually SINGING. Let me put it to you that you have several hundred people there who COULD raise the roof with glorious sound, provided you stop the strumming, stop the forced regular rhythm, stop the guitar bits that interrupt the lines, throw away the microphone on which you are so dependent and get an up-front person who knows how to LEAD the congregation, rather than trying to express hi OWN holiness. This song is about AWESOMENESS! THUNDER!... GRANDEUR! ...SHOUTS of ACCLAMATION and HOW GREAT GOD IS! Sing as if you UNDERSTAND the words!
Am guessing you are a conservative type who believes anything Hillsong is of the devil?? Just because a song is performed in a different style than what you like, doesn't mean it's wrong!
