@@MoonRewind0 Waiting for someone to make Why is "Why is“Why is Nintendo So Bad? (feat. Rockstar games, Ubisoft, Activision, Bethesda, 343 Industries & more)” So Bad?" So Bad?
Don't worry, Big Boss. I'm on it... no but seriously we should probably stop with this gag, I don't think we need to get into more arguments with random redditors.
fun fact: people have archived every single mod for games on non centralized internet, all you have to get is the link and there is 99.9% chance that this is archived btw i really dislike centralized internet and i think it's Dystopian
Finally someone brought it up. Fun fact to add with that: Fahrenheit 451 is an inspiration on how the nazis censored books around the 1960s or so because they did not side with their ideology. It merely is to represent the consequential future if censorship becomes the norm, where morality is nonexistent and everyone is irrational. Still arguably accurate with media managing today. alongside other similarities, like AI technology, rehab politics, and nuclear threats.
Noclick probably should have just ignored him but I feel like maybe that guy brought it upon himself. The video quality has improved though, so. Thank you, Mr Northern Irish guy, for inadvertedly improving a Half Life RU-vidr's video quality, lol.
@@memeboicrep9502 I ran into a player who dressed up like Mario and had his name in his username. I'm also arguing with a moron who has a Mario profile pic and I wonder how long will it take for Nintendo to raid their homes.
@@CommanderRedEXEThe saddest part about this is that it’s truly accurate. (also, this comment was originally meant for most of triple-a companies before it’s title was renamed to why Nintendo is bad.)
What can I say about Nintendo is that in Japan they don't have a free use policy/law, which gives them the right to copyright anyone, Capcom, Atlus, etc. could do the same but they know it can lead to backlash, Nintendo can literally afford to copyright anyone and ignore the backlash like its nothing, they have money, they have the reputation, etc. so Nintendo is just doing it because they want to, and they know they have consumers that will always buy their games no matter what while keeping the value of their IPs high! For R* I could say it mostly because of TakeTwo doing this bull show, it's just greed and I hate it!
not only that, nintendo fans consist of two main audiences: casual players (familes with children) who are not in the know about gaming things neckbeard redditors who will suck the toes of nintendo at any chance and are basically drones
And what is vary messed up is that to what I know if you are a foreign company from Japan or some other country and you enter the market in countries like the US or European countries you have to follow the laws in said country literally meaning that Nintendo is potentially committing a crime filling these takedowns since stuff like mods and parades fall under fair use law
The issue with Minecraft actually happened to me. I wanted to play it again after years of not being really interested. And I first thought I was hacked or some shit. I contacted support, got no help at all, I tweeted at them, got no help at all. Then some random dude told me about the account termination of all Java accounts and I was just sitting here and thought "wait....so I have to buy that shit again?" and let's not forget they cranked up the damn prize. So that was a doozie
At this point we should just do something like every Helldiver did with Sony's idiotic decision. It did work out in the end, but... Halfway, as a lot of countries (being those who can't create a PSN account because the service is not available there) are locked out from buying the game on Steam.
I’ll add a couple more details to Activation’s greed. Due to some corporate reasons, they removed three of the best Transformers games and one great Deadpool game. At such moments, I am glad that in Russia it is much easier to download games from torrents, especially now when it’s almost impossible to buy games legally
Not to mention they also raised their games prices over here in Brazil. Shit man, paying 250 fucking bucks for a 15 year old game is bullshit. It literally costed 90 a few months back. Honestly I mess betas and demos
the stupid thing is that how nintendo is trying to dmca garrys mod just because we can play it as mods but then remove our assets and they want us to play their games but no one actually would buy it after, ridiculous.
While I do agree but it's only a matter of time if valve and indie developers also go down this path of greed and control and if that happens I might stop gameing all together
@THE_SONICSTER Companies are often lead by insane individuals. Bethesda went after companies who used the words "Scrolls" and "Prey" in their game titles. It's going to get worse. They'll try to use fear to ensure competition is thinned out.
Bro deleting game mods is like light up a fire in a middle of a farm That's ridiculously a reason without sense is mind boggling cuz those companies are just Greedy and miserly Thx for exposure noclick you've made our day
8:50 I asked the same question to my friend who was a FIFA lover, and he told me that they shut down servers to old FIFAs so he had to buy new ones every single year
with this much backlash, im suprised nintendo hasn’t renamed themselves to brine limited to avoid it. (if you get the reference/joke you’re officially cool)
Another reason why I don't like EA is that they have other IPs, they don't do anything with them, but they don't allow anyone to make a game about that IP (American McGee's Alice and Crusader as examples. American McGee wanted to make the third game in Alice franchise and some Slovakian company wanted to remake Crusader: No Remorse for PSP. Even Crusader's composer supported the project)
I love Call of Duty, but Activision is making a shitty job. If they just start to release games when they're finished and not yearly releases, it would be a win both for the consumers AND the developers.
EA shutting down servers for Battlefront 2 etc was not EA, it was GameSpy, and as such most servers from early 2000s to ~2010 no longer work without workarounds. SWBF2 servers are back up because of a patch luckily.
@@noclickActually it was IGN, because IGN bought GameSpy in 2013, right before servers and "planets" were shut down ("planets" are the videogame forums, for example, there were Planet Half-Life and Planet Deus Ex)
One of the examples of nintendo being greedy was a game called five nights at pokemons, it was a fan game with no monetation just made for pure fun and awesomeness and nintendo being nintendo of course had to remove it and the work in progress sequel aswell
9:51 speaking about cod, for no reason in my country the old cods are overpriced like why tf the first cod until world at war cost RM95 and then after black ops released the price is over RM190
this brand is no longer what it used to be, games are not created for players, but for money. when a game does not generate new costs, it becomes unnecessary and is thrown away regardless of its fans.
You should've put Valve in this list too since they're treating TF2 like major garbage. Now the TF2 community is in shambles all because of Valve's laziness to actually listen to the community for once. I hope fixTF2 actually works this time.
2024 is the worst year of gaming it's May 16th and we already have some video game disasters like: -Nintendo takes gmod mods down -Viet Nam blocked Steam because Gabe N evades taxes and also because VTC game thinks that Steam is illegal 'cause they think that Steam is releasing games without the president's approval. (Steam status: still down) -Bunch of shitty games drop into existence That just three biggest one
Same thing with SONY forcing players to sign in their PSN Account in order to play Helldivers 2, That really killed my consideration to get that game to see what’s all the hype is about. Gladly that it is resolved however… I feel like most of triple asshats companies are slowly killing video games with their micro transactions, as well as milking each one of their games from their franchise one by one.
at least terraria has its 13th birthday today ^ ^ if you haven't played that yet you really should. makes games feel fun again especially with mods like Calamity Mod.
@@legocreator768 ain't got no money man and even if i got moneys you know that steam blocked in VN i only could download free games unless i pay money for VPN to pay moneys for steam.
Not going to lie, I am absolutely sick of the whole modern gaming is dead or trash debate. It's been a lousy annoying debate ever since 2020 and I can see why people are absolutely sick of it, I like to enjoy video game games just the way they are. Yes, There are some bad apples but there's always good apples out there that we absolutely enjoy and have become successful. Spider-Man 2 for PS5, Sonic Frontiers, Super Mario Bros Wonder, Thousand-Year-door remake, Tears of the Kingdom, Boulder's gate 3, resident evil 4 and so much More successful games The gaming industry is still alive as always, People on the internet just need to learn to chill out for once and stop whining about it 24/7
For me it feels like Nintendo stuck in the 1980th, where were rom hacks and pirating to make money, and not just for fun. I'm just a Nintendo fan, and this is the first time being disappointed in my favourite game company.
This man came from comparing reload animations to comparing flaws of biggest videogame companies. I can't wait for him to create his own videogame company and develop a Half-Life game, where players control Gordon Freeman from the perspective of G-Man's eyes.
It isn't free, but the 2012 version is. Original sourcemod version Stanley Parable is free too. (but not the Steam version or Ultra Deluxe Edition) G-String has a free Day One demo and beta version on ModDB. Full game is available on Steam
Isnt this completely illegal? The only reason they get away with it is because they havent been sued yet for monopolizing IP when its used in a fair use settinf.
Although Persona 3 Reload has a DLC Expansion Pass that is half the price of the main game and gatewalling content that was already included in FES.. and some games have been delisted or left in bundles that are packaged with other games for a big price tag.
Why didn't people made a boycott against nintendo if they are too much restricted about their "copyrighted ips" ??? Just a questiin that poped up in my mimd
the only good game the ubisoft has published is a game called Automega which im 99% sure they forgot existed because i dont even remember the last time it was updated and it has a small English and Russian community, the game has 0 microtransactions and quite fun gameplay but is mostly unknown
If they are gonna take down animal crossing characters and pokemon characters then i cant imagine how much of a greed boner they will get when they start copyrighting furry porn
Nah man, you summarized it pretty well, though I don't really know how much euros are in US Dollars, the prices are outrageous, and the fact Nintendo can sue free stuff that is a fan creation or mods just because it contains their own creations is a complete spit in the face to everyone that wanted to show their love for the games they played by bringing it to other games in a mod or people who wanted to make a fan game of the games they made only for them to be sued, next they're going to go for the Mario.exe games, then the fan art of said games, then what's next? People's costumes that aren't for sale and was purely made so they can express their love for the games? Honestly, these games have taken it too far, I'd say the best way to deal with all of this is to go on a strike for all these companies so they can learn a lesson
7:59 I think they deleted the mod because you would have to pay for only one game to play others, which kind off cuts some money from R*. But it's not even comparable to Nintendo which deleted mods THAT DIDN'T EVEN AFFECT THEIR GAINS
from what I know, they only used maps and not cutscenes or any other stuff - which means yeah you could play on other GTA maps in GTA San Andreas but you couldn't play the story of these other games
Its sad that EA owns Dice games. Dice makes hella fun battlefield games just for EA to make it full of microtransactions, or even fully delete 2 battlefield games.
