Paul used it in Titus 3:10 (KJV only) and variations of it ('heresies', 'heretical', etc) to show one who isn't following the doctrine of the Bible. conclusion: catholicism is heretical. i was catholic 35 yrs, Michael. i've probably forgotten more than most catholics even know about this 'church'. now that i am Christian, i realize - catholicism isn't Christianity. Bible proves it. *Happy Sabbath!!!* today is the Lord's day and i pray church is a blessing for all who know God, love Christ and walk in Truth!

Truth is what separates itself from lie, also good itself separate from evil. If I live in family where everyone is atheist, and for example they live in habit of something sinful, I would try to correct them. This division is based upon vision of their good and on the premise we all need God and to be friend with God, we need to repent. This division is not like "now I am christian and division come to my house as something magical and everything will be about permanent division". It is not like that, division in even little things is concequence of trying to follow truth, instead of following the world. Christianity is about real change of heart (metanoia).

Correct. Mary doesn't want adoration reserved for her Son alone. She rather is worthy of devotion and honor, for she is the greatest of creatures God created. And, like Enoch and Elijah, she was taken to Heaven.

You could avoid spouting heresy if you just read the Catechism of the Catholic Church or listen to Fr. Mike Schmitz or any other Catholic priest or theologian on RU-vid who will explain the beliefs of the Church, rather than echoing this tired and false narrative of Catholics worshipping Mary. Do some research into the beliefs of the faith instead of attacking the True Church and issuing objectively false statements.

@@michaelbarry6589 That’s the issue though, you are caught up on the church and not the authority that lies with Christ himself and what his word says. You would rather listen to Popes who you idolise too and believe as a ‘god on earth’ type.. come on. Listen to yourselves. We are all to worship Christ alone. He’s the one who died on the cross for our sins and was raised back to life after the 3rd day. Thats something we agree with, yes?

@@bealright834 I would like to offer some clarification regarding the misconceptions you have about Catholicism. The purpose of prayer is to 1. Worship (we - Catholics worship God/Jesus not Mary) 2. Pray (we pray to God/Jesus not Mary) 3. Petition (we do not worship/pray to Mary we petition her and other saints to pray for us). This is the same as when you ask someone to pray for you. Catholics also do not idolize the Pope. We support the office of the Pope but the Pope is a human being and he is not perfect. In the past there have been good and bad popes. Jesus stated "No one is good - except God alone." (Luke 18:19) so based on this quote we should understand that we are here on this earth to learn the character/goodness and virtues of God/Jesus, grow in our faith and demonstrate these qualities during our earthly life so that we could join God at our final destination - in Heaven.
