I would if things goes in peace and right directions, in marriage life you do become after awhile the best friends, you spend to much time together it's a natural thing, I salute Gwyneth and Chris for that!
My mum and Dad were best friends even after mum married my step-dad and had another child. My step dad never questioned their friendship and me and my brother were so lucky to not be in between a messy break up. When my Dad died my mum was in pieces as she lost her lifelong friend and the father to her children.
My ex husband, the father of my kids, is a dear friend of mine for a long time and when my parents were alive we spent every holiday together with the new families❤
@Lana wow, such a beautiful friendship you had. I'm glad that the nasty ex is out of your life and you are now happily married to someone who is decent enough for your love. Humans are complex and no one can tell you who you can and can't love. My mum loves my dad forever but it just so happens it turned into a different type of love. Funny that Chris has never shared his feelings about the divorce as Gynn has done. I think he's much more private than she. If you listen to Ghost Stories by CP, you'll realize how broken-hearted Chris was about the split.

A lot of couples are known to get comments that they look like siblings. Her seeing her as a brother does not surprise me at all. For me it was the reverse. I saw my love as a sibling at first because he looked like me, then eventually I realised there's more to 'us'. Pray for us people so we can make mini 'us' soon 🙃
Thanks for your comment Angela! We're happy for them too. Sometimes it's better to get a divorce and simply move on rather than stay in a marriage that isn't working. We see no shame in that. As long as everyone finds their own happiness that they deserve!
Admirable. There’s really no need for two mature adults with some degree of emotional intelligence to hate each other after divorce. Their kids are lucky in that respect. The narrator on the other hand sounds a tad juvenile.
I just wonder what if they still together. Chris is just amazing guy he never been so vocal about their divorce he never throw bad words to Gwyneth. But you will feel how he felt hurt so much through their album Ghost Stories
Easy to divorce amicably when there are no court battles over money, child support and the other nastiness that goes along with every day people divorces… BUT, good for them 🙃
Gwyneth initially told Chris she wanted to stay married but be free to eff other men. It would have made him a laughing stock. I'm surprised he's still speaking to her.

I think I see relationships more like they way do than the general public sees relationships. I spent my whole life trying to fit into the perceptions of what relationships should be, but I couldn't even understand the feelings of exclusivity and possessiveness that most people feel and see as normal. I'm glad to see their example of healthy relating within themselves and with others. So inspiring!

The mistake is men who give women too much of a break in places where circumstances would naturally demand otherwise and then they end up in a shitty non passionate relationship as a result
The friendship stage of a relationship is the maturing stage. Unfortunately, media/society has given a false narrative that love has to look and smell a certain way (romantic, honeymoon stage) and that fosters a sense of disenchantment and disappointment when that initial romance stage morphs into something deeper.
A no.of marriages end up as the wife finds her husband immature and slowly the close relationship ends up for the female, a beginning of a brother/sister relationship. The wife matures more faster and earlier because of greater responsibilities than the spouse.
Better become nothing, a man like him being basically rejected but I assume it is entirely his fault, based on how much men in general perceive women lack of attraction as the need for more time or making a “chivalrous” effort, when in truth it is not more than just lack of true attraction.
