I suppose it depends on the type of stain that is being applied but I liked how it looked before a lot better.

Its better to hand wipe stains. If you buff it in it makes any repairs very complicated to match. Plus buffing is the lazy way

@diegoherrera1422
@diegoherrera1422 Год назад
If you keep changing the paper on the edgers with new paper and are carful you won't damage the baseboard but if it is easier for you it is sometimes better to remove the baseboard especially if you are thinking about paintings

So anyone who is watching this, I want you to know that no one good at floors stains with a buffer. That is by far the laziest worst application I've seen. The guy I work with has done it for 30 years and I have done it for 8. You don't use a buffer that is ridiculous.
@heenaqadir5338
@heenaqadir5338 2 года назад
Please tell me the process. I'm going to do mine soon.
@9usuck0
@9usuck0 2 года назад
@@heenaqadir5338 sand and staining? I'd recommend finding a reputable flooring guy in your area. It's not super difficult but it takes expensive equipment and practice to make it efficient to get done and that's asking a lot for someone who has no experience. But if you are going to do it. Rent a belt flooring sander and a flooring buffer. Sand well, then open the grain and wipe on and off.
@daniels1293
@daniels1293 2 года назад
If you think that keep staining it by hand then lmao. I'll stain 1500 sqft in the same amount of time you take to stain half a room lmao
@daniels1293
@daniels1293 2 года назад
And it'll look less blotchy, take more even, and I don't have to worry about lap lines. There's a reason 95% of floor guys use a buffer to stain these days.
@9usuck0
@9usuck0 2 года назад
@@daniels1293 95%, yeah sure. Also, no you won't. I don't know how bad you are at your job but you didn't do anything any quicker than I do. You also did not look any better than mine. All you said to me basically is "I'm so bad at doing it the right way, I took a short cut to hid it." But it's your life. I'm just trying to protect people who don't know any better.
