Thanks! It is so comfortable to ride now. I can't wait for next year's interstate road trip. Only wish I had this seat before I went to the Tail of the Dragon...but...Born Scum....19 weeks. >.
Chrome, chrome, and more chrome. Any parts that can be replaced with chrome ones, DO IT!! Have the wheels powder coated silver or gold. Whatever you can do to get rid of as much flat black as possible. I see the tank has a dent in it. Fix the dent, and have the tank and fenders painted a light color. Not everyone adds performance parts to their bike. I have had around 50 bikes, and never added a performance part to any of them. Only 2 are Harleys, both Sportsters. I bought a brand new 2006 Sportster 1200L, which I still have, and just recently bought a 2002 883 Sportster 883, when I realized H-D was canceling the Sportster. I put slip on mufflers on the 1200, not for performance, but for sound. The 883 already came with slip ons. Both still have stock air cleaners. I'm more interested in looks, sound, and reliability. I have added extra chrome to both. I put a sissy bar and removeable saddlebags on the 1200. I have ridden over a million miles without a windshield. I tried a couple, they caused such extreme helmet buffeting that I immediately removed them. A full face helmet works just fine. Being out in the wind, hearing and feeling the engine are a big part of what riding a motorcycle means to me.
Hammer 1275 kit might not cost as much as you think since you already have the tuner. Late August early September every year they have 15% off sale and sometimes a Christmas sale. I've had my kit installed two seasons now and my son just done his. Harley should do a recall and install the 1250 or 1275 kit in any and all sportsters that want it😂. it is soo much fun now. If i had it to do over i would've saved up and got the full headwork and cam kit.i still may one day and put my cylinders on the wife's 1200C😂
I figure it will be about 1100 for the 1275 kit, not including paying dave to install it for 500. I will be heading out for Stubborn American next week. I could have gotten the 1275 this year, but then no money for vacation. Gotta get away sometimes :)
@@theorthobiker you won't be sorry dude. Mine is neck and neck with my son's V-Rod up to a hundred. I don't go over the triple digit mark. His bike over a hundred lb more than my 03 and I have more acceleration low to mid and his more mid to high rpm. I was very surprised, mines faster everywhere than my wife's 1200c.
