How I’m treated with different hair colors *PLOT TWIST END* 

So I tried something different with this video! I tend to overthink, so I wanted to test my hair conspiracy. Again, this isn’t a fact, this is an experimental video. Before leaving your hate comment, watch until the end to hear what I learned from filming this video. The message of the video isn’t what you think until you watch it all the way through. Those of you who have watched this video until the end really appreciate the topic I touched on-social anxiety. Those that are hating, I know you haven’t watched the whole video. Lol.

I honestly feel like people were staring at Kenny more because he was a man with makeup on. Maybe you should try the experiment again without him because the attention was more towards him and plus you had someone following you and filming

Honestly, I feel like they were looking at Kenny and not at you. Most people aren’t used to seeing a boy wearing makeup, especially in a conservative town as you described it, and give them weird looks because of it (sadly). I’m sure you have gotten responses about your hair, but you walking with him might have changed the results of the experiment and you couldn’t really know if it’s about you or your friend (or the camera man behind you). This is not hate, I want to make sure you don’t think I hate you nor him, actually love watching your vids and I totally support Kenny. Also you walking around with a camera man filming you can cause people to look at you in a weird way as well, as I said, people aren’t used to seeing that. Just wanted to say that so you know in the future, if you ever do an experiment again, to think about that kind of stuff..

When I see someone with fashion colored hair, I usually do take an extra look. Same as someone with a beautiful balayage or icy hair or red hair (which I have). I think it’s just me looking to see how well they do it, sometimes it looks amazing, sometimes it doesn’t. I guess I’m just admiring, and I love color theory so just like someone with bright eyeshadow, I’m curious to see if it goes with their skin tone.

I am a mom, I go into “Mom stores”, I go to the mall and I go shopping. But I Also do not look at someone with different hair color and think “I don’t want my kids to do that to their hair” I am probably looking at you thinking “gosh I wish I was that cute and young again and could pull off that hair color” Stop being so hard on yourself. Regardless of what color your hair is you are still adorable.

When I see people with pretty hair colors like Nikkis I look and I’m like wow I want my hair to be like that

sis I hope you know that usually when people look at you, it’s not cuz colored hair is bad or ugly they just stare cuz it’s different and probably in awe. Like I do that all the time when I see someone who’s gay, heavily tatted, or have colored hair I just have a lot of appreciation and it’s something different.

I really wanna get blue hair even before watching Niki, I have brown-ish black-ish hair.

Perfect example of social anxiety at the beginning (I’m not hating, I legit deal with this too) but when she had her “normal hair” on and the girl forgot to give her the card back, Niki thought it was because she blended in so well that the girl “forgot about her”. I work at Dunkin and we usually have to hand out the drinks first while the card is processing because it takes a while. The girl probably just didn’t want Niki to drive off without it, (the card is usually the last thing you hand out). That whole interaction literally had nothing to do with Niki as a person. Also just a tip to anyone reading this, when ordering a drink at a coffee place, always say the size first. Otherwise everything you say after that is useless because they don’t know which cup to write on 🤷🏻‍♀️ I just figured I’d mention it because she did it twice in this video 😂

I wonder how Kenny felt as an African American gay man who wears makeup, listening to niki talk about the stares she gets because of her hair color, did he think she was extra? Did he feel no different? Did he just empathize as a friend? Not being mean at all I really just wondered what he was thinking the whole time

Video idea: this may sound weird, but I think it would be so cool if you got your hair died or wore a wig that someone picked without knowing what color, and then go out in public and live your normal day without looking, and then guess if it’s a fashion or basic color based on the way you’re treated!

I can honestly relate, when my hair was purple everyone complimented me and talked to me and gave me so much attention, but when I got my brown hair back it was like I was invisible, no one talked to me, the workers didn’t make any eye contact to me got no attention. It’s so weird.

Dear niki, I have had that feeling that people think badly of me since I was 9 years old and that feeling led me to minor depression it sucks always having the thought of people hating you but after I watched this video I realized that No, I shouldn't think that way because first of all I'm being judgmental , two I'm hurting myself and my feelings, three it's not healthy. omg, i wanna tell u a story that's related to this a little bit. so i have this friend named jaliyah and whenever she hears a song that she knows she would sing it out loud in public and i would always ask her, "aren't you embarrassed?" and she would say no and i would always think in my head "why don't i sing in public?" and now that i've watched this video, i think i don't sing in public because i think other people would judge me or i think that people would be waiting for my voice to crack or something like that and jaliyah doesn't think that, she thinks that no one would judge her no matter how bad her voice is. when she sings, i would kinda act like i don't know her beacuse i thought she was embarrassing me but now i think other people think that i have a fun friendship with jaliyah and they might be jealous and want a friend like her. and now.. i sing my lungs out in public with jaliyah. :) (thank u for reading if u did read

Okay, so here's one of my thoughts, and I mean no offense what so ever, but do you think the reason why people were staring was because of Kenny and is Full glam makeup? I feel like that's what people's eyes would be more focused on.

I know whenever my mom spots someone in public with purple hair, or blue hair, pink hair, etc., she points to them and says to me "Oh, look at that girl/boy! He/she has pink hair (for example)." and I respond "Oh, that's cool!" I'm 10 and I've dyed my hair quite a few times already (temporary)! I think colored hair is cool, and I love your blue hair.

Can I just add, that you were going to get stared at regardless because you were walking with a tall black man with make up on. His make up looked good, but like people are going to stare at the two people who are different and vibrant on the outside and also with vibrant personalities. Some of us just carry auras where we attract people to stare and look , maybe for a little bit longer. I’m trying to take it as a compliment that I’m turning heads and creating people to talk wether it’s bad or good. Idk it’s feeding my ego at this point and that kind of criticism is starting to fuel my ego lol it’s only giving me self confidence because either way I’m getting stared at. & I know I look good so whatever they’re thinking about me, I’m still creating a conversation bad or good lol fuck what people think man.

I don't want to "leave hate" or anything but imagine being judged by the colour of your skin, your race or even your ethnic background. You can easily change the colour of your hair but not your skin. TBH i don't understand the point of this video--- this just reminded me of how it feels like to be stared at because i'm a muslim!!!!

You were walking around next to a boy wearing very bright makeup. That unfortunately gets judged very easily and people were most likely staring at him and glancing at your pretty hair color. Your hair color will yes attract attention but his makeup will attract more especially in the area you are in. Both of you looked fabulous in the video though.

Niki I have severe anxiety too and I relate so much it’s unreal to making up things in my head. I feel at all times people are always talking about me and looking at me in a negative way. I overthink so much to the point I believe it. It’s awful. I get myself so overwhelmed to the point I’ll lash out. Finally someone who actually gets it and understands. I have poor self esteem because of being overweight so that makes me feel like I’m always being judged and talked about even though I’m probably not. Thank you so much for making this video ❤️

Maybe you were getting looks in the mall bc you were with a guy wearing makeup. In a small town that’s very different. Even more than colored hair. I feel like this wasn’t an accurate test because of it.

No offense because I think Kenny is fabulous but I think him walking around with a full beat face was strong more looks than your blue hair! Lol 😂 totally love the end to this though! I have anxiety and my hair is a normal color but I still think the same way...it just shows that anxiety isn’t a logical thing, that’s why it’s a disorder! I have had purple hair for years. I feel now like people only look at me because I’m almost 35 with purple hair and most people associate it to be cool for young people!
