I love the whole Pilot frixion collection! They have so many colors for pens, highlighters, and markers that are erasable and as someone who makes a lot of mistakes, they’re life savers!! (:
@@NippyBooks they should come back in the cold. also, i find the highlighter a bit too harsh as repeatedly erasing over a single spot will destroy the paper beneath it
If you like the Pilot Frixion highlighters (I do too!), you might like the Pilot Frixion pens/fine liners. They erase the same way the highlighters do and honestly, I love using them in my bullet journal since they erase nicely. Thanks for the video! I’m currently reading a “personal growth” book and I’m slowly delving into annotating that book. Your video was super helpful!
I LOVE the way you annotate your books!! I’ve been trying to decide if I want to highlight things in my books and after watching this video, I’ve decided that I will. I will DEFINITELY be trying your method in the future. Thank you :)
i‘m pretty sure pilot also has erasable gel pens, i think they are called frixion pens no clue how good they are, i just remember that everyone had them in middle school
I have so many annotating supplies and just get overwhelmed trying to figure out when to and how to lol This helped and I like how you simplified it. Thanks!
alsoo i know you love it ends with us, and i was reading this book and its litreally it ends with us but more like teenagers. Its Crush by Eve Ainsworth
This made total since. I like that you only tab large scenes that you love and color code with the highlighters. Thanks for posting this video. Oh and pilot also makes erasable pens. They work so well.
I’ve been waiting for this video! I tried annotating before with specific colors but I would forget what colors were meant for what LOL I’m going to have to try your method 😅
Okay honestly I wanted to try your annotating style with the one color with my current read to see how I like it cause like sometimes annotating slows my reading down and this is so much quicker and it still helps me take in information
I might need to start trying how you do it. I usually just underline parts that I like, like quotes or sections, and I'll write in the margins my thoughts on it. I'll tab those parts too with colors that go with what I think that part is (i.e. pink for romance, yellow for important to remember, etc). And I'll highlight words that fall under certain categories (pink for new people, green for new places, and yellow for new world specific terms)
just thought i’d pop in and say i looked up best highlighters to use to annotate books (bc i’m visiting a friend in october) and she actually got me into the addicted/calloway series and coballoway is our couple lol. and (you would obviously know) but connor asks his 5 friends to gift him their favorite book for christmas then the next christmas he regifted the books but annotated them - which my best friend and i thought was the best thing ever and we literally will never be able to get over it. so that’s what i’m doing for her birthday this year, annotating fuel the fire and gifting that to her for her birthday in october :’)
if you like the highlighters, pilot also have the pen version!! they're also eraseable but one thing i would say is that the color is more of a gray pencil-ish color even though it says black. but it works rlly well!
I got the same erasable highlighters as you on amazon but they came as 5 so i have also a purple and a green one. Even if i come from France Im sure you can find the pack on amazon !
Cool annotation system! I personally annotate by color coding my sticky tabs which I use for everything. This helps me find the important stuff easily but ur vid made me realize that it is indeed too much lol.. Anyway, I was just wondering, how do u find ur highlighted/underlined parts of the book?
Writing on books bothers me, but I wanted to start annotating now. Reason? Because I want to annotate those words that are new to me, to expand my vocabulary. I also tend to reread most of my books so if I forget the meaning of that specific word it'll be convenient to have annotation with a meaning beside it or on the footnotes. Also I think this will be a preparation since I'm planning to buy classic books (which tends to have more in depth language lol) But I think I'll just use transparent/sticky notes for highlighting and writing. It'll really kills me inside if I wrote on my precious books 🥲
I really want to annotate my books without actually writing in them but it has the opposite effect on me that it does on you unfortunately, it reeeally takes me out of the story, idk maybe I'll give it another try. I just feel like it would really help me write good reviews too.
Hello Mel reads I use the post it but when I started I post it pomia my book does the color of the cover a few days ago I started using color coding my system is this pink romantic or tender monmetos The Spicy or Hot Orange Monmetos The Yellow Happy or special monmetos The green favorite phrases to remember and the blue sad moments is my color code I started using in the Book of the Hunger Games but Mockingjay is suffering psychologically and ends up hating Gale
