For anyone wondering when they should start the application process, a good rule of thumb is 6 months prior to the start of the intended term (March or September | June for summer semester). Filling the application itself is easy for the most part, the hardest part is getting all the documents you have to submit with it. Those 6 months are just to prepare all required documents.
@@tamayashaw8631 like some of your documents may need to be translated into Korean so you'd need to find an official Translator and get it notarized Rey and Google more to see if your document needs to me Notarized Ughh oh gosh at least find some universities and see what requirements they want of international applications.
yo! im a 16 year old in a VERY similar situation and i just wanna thank you for your video bc my parents are tryna explain this whole process to me but they make it so hard to understand ㅠㅠ
Thank you so much for step-by-step guide! I am currently a senior in high school looking to apply for Fall 2021 at Korea University (my top choice) and this really helped
hey actually im pretty confused for this parts like im having my exams in may June due to the pandemic and I vll get my results by July 15 mostly so when do you think I should apply? and im also thinking about applying for computer science engineering in Yonsei, SNU, Korea University so are these courses taught in English or Korean?
Hi, I'm so so sorry for the late reply! Courses are generally taught in Korean, and some students opt to take a year on foundation studies just focusing on Korean before enrolling but I'm not entirely sure about that path :(( however Yonsei has an international college where everything is taught in English called UIC and there are a bunch of courses there so you might find something! :)
@@susanamaganga3930 I haven’t :( i’m super scared to apply for the korean government thing cause i’m nervous to wether i’ll get in or not especially since it’s my dream
i have a question: so i'm biologically korean but my parents and i are american citizens (i was born in the US and never went to school in korea). do i count as an international student? or do i have to go thru the same process as you? tysm!
Reading the guidelines made me feel hyped then I suddenly saw a requirement regarding a minimum of USD 20k bank balance T_T naauuurrr we're not rich huhuhu
2023 in the Fall semsester would be right after you graduate. I'm applying for this spring, and the application just opened up. If you want to get ahead you can familiarize yourself with the website and essay questions + documents! I'd advise that you get you passport if you don't already have it WAYY before you start applying since there is a heavy wait time with COVID (like 20 weeks)
@@blaaaboo2524 I’ve kind of got what we need for paperwork set up, only thing that’s really difficult is the financial stuff right now. Do you have social media? We can add each other
Hi Shaine!! I just want to ask if IELTS is required for KU GSIS? or is Certification on Medium of Instruction enough? I am from the Philippines too and my classes were also taught in english. Thank you so much!
Please tell me can we get admission in Korean university after 12 with science and there is any limit of completing FSC before March and expenses I am from Pakistan 🇵🇰
Helloo, I have a question my school was veryy competitive more like a uni so my average was at 60s and my rank was top 10 and also my class averages were extremely low mainly because the exams papaers were extremely hard . Would yonsei check my school competition when evaluating me?
for Yonsei UIC there is a part of the application form where you can indicate your class rank, not sure how much that influences the admission process though..
I have doubt while applying to the university should we need topik because i don't have any only ielts .. if we accepted then can we learn korean from korea ??? Whithout learning it from home country
I planned to go college in Korea next year so I am preparing myself for the test this fall. But I don't know where to start because no one guides me and I have no one to reach out who has this experience. I want to take scholarship one of those Korean Universities, like full scholarship because our financial is on average.
You can apply a scholarship like KGSP or the university scholarship like if you apply at yonsei they are offering a scholarship just search it in Google. And for that KGSP or the Korean government scholarship is just also search KGSP scholarship in Google and it will just pop up and then their you have it. I hope it will help, good luck!
I am 50 years old and hold a master's degree in administration. Can I complete my PhD study in Korea? What universities are the least expensive? Do you have another suggestion?
I have Confucius Institute’s scholarship and Chinese government scholarship on my background, but my grades are not 95 and above, it’s between 84-95, sometimes it’s even 60, so do I have any chance to get into Yonsei?
Hey I wanna ask Do Korea Univeristy teach Medicine in English ?? I'm searching for it on Google too but can't find my desired answer.. Kindly guide me I'll be grateful to you 😭😭😭
@@choihaeki yup you have to give an entrance to get into medicine in Korea which is very very difficult exam even for korean students so there is no chance at all and maybe after doing medine from Korea you can not go back and work in your country as it is there in India 🙄 that not even a single Korean University is mci approved it really very sad for my case but maybe not yours
May i ask this... I am a student Myanmar who had answered IGCSE and IELTS. Do we need SATs 1 and 2(subjects) instead of ACT, to get into a Korean University to prove that have finished 12 years of high school? Honestly i dropped out of highschool at 10th grade, but did another 2 years as homeschooling. Can you please help me? Thank you
Thanks for the amazing videos It's clear my many of the doubts ❤️❤️ But I have a question that after passing high school can I get the admission in the university for medical or need to graduate?? Please reply dear it's a great doubt 💜🥺🥺🥺🥺
Hi! Thank you for this video! I just had a few questions. What month would you apply if you are an overseas korean and would you start the uni during fall or spring? Also, did you apply to any universities other than these two? Thank you!
the timelines differ i think and 12년특 application guidelines are all on each university's website! you'd start uni in the spring (most likely?) and i think i started applying around like may-june(?) tho i cant be sure aaaa please check the website instead !!
Hi! Is it worthy to study in Korean universities as an international students? I mean is it worthy if I want to get a job in USA, UK or CANADA? Please, I'm confused! Help me someone who knows it!
you can try to look up if the diplomas for those schools are accredited which if they are, means that they are valid in the country you want and going to school internationally won’t affect your future job prospects
Ugh, my biggest problem is not even the language or the documents, but my gpa, my grades are too low and there are so many better candidates, still I´ll give a try.
I never took the ACT since my school had us take the SAT but isn't a 31 out of 36? excellent??? I got like an 1110/1600 on the SAT😅💀 I'm thinking about studying abroad to Korea University for a semester or 2 but I'm considering trying to transfer if I like it, my biggest problem is that I ended up transferring to a different university for an online major my junior year of college because of covid and health issues so I'm not sure if it's a good idea to try and transfer again lol
Im so stuck in like if I should go live in South Korea or in Japan. I am thinking abt studying first psychology & music here in the U.S. and find Japanese learning courses or Korean to then move over there but idk if they have like psychology or music over there yk? Hi! I have a question to ask. One of my parent is korean and the other has a US citizenship. I also have a US citizenship. Because of this I can’t apply as an international students since both of my parents are not US citizens. So then for the 전교육과정해외이수자 do I have to be Korean to apply through this? Can I still apply this way even though I do not have a Korean citizenship? Please help😭😭🙏🏻
hello! can I ask were you able to start studying for first year college here in the Philippines before you decided to move to Korea? or you actually started college at KU? hehe hope you answer
Hii, I'm a high school student of the economic sector in Italy. I wanna study at SNU but i really need to know some questions : Are South Korean universities' degrees valuable outside of South Korea? Will either of European or North American countries (U.S and Canada) accept a person's university degree from South Korea for finding an appropriate job?
hey what exactly did you submit for your exchange year because I did an exchange year in the States but my grades are really bad from that year so did you just submitted a paper that you went there or did you submitted your grades?
im senior year, since 7th grade (2nd year of middle school) i've been wanting to study in korea but i couldnt, what should i study? i dont wanna go to college but i want the kr experience lmao
Hello, I am a Half Korean - Half Filipino which I am currently a grade 12 student here in the Philippines. What are the steps that should I take just to study to Korea? is it exchange student in which I would study uni here then go to Korea or am I eligable to transfer uni's. Thank you
I know this is not the answer what you looking for but if you going to study medical science or something similar i recommend you to check with your country first, cuz if you in europe you can´t study medical outside of eu if you going to work in eu later. Just a tips.
what if i studied 6 years in an elementary school in my own country and the remaining middle and high school here in korea as an international student? should i go get the transcript from my elementary school as well or is it unnecessary?
I wanna ask you that how do you know that this is the last date of applying to Korean university or other universities? Like mainly how do we know what is the last date of it?
Graduated high school (old curriculum), then only first semester of my first year in college. I’m already 34, I’m really having a hard time looking for a university in Korea that would accept someone with a case like I do. Do you think there’s a university out there in Korea that does? If so, what university?
I can only speak for my country. Here goes... The University of the West Indies (regional University in the Caribbean) has a one year prep program that may help you out. It’s a pre university program that basically gets you your high school diploma. Since you have your diploma but for the old curriculum, doing a program like this may help you. The program varies depending on what field you wish to study at the university and on completion, you get priority placement in university acceptance. Most degree programs here last 3 years, so with the single prep year, you can complete everything in 4 years. Tuition is also not that expensive. If you need more info, feel free to reply.
Yes and no, honestly if you did well I your internals it'll be fine, anyway focus on doing well in 11th and especially 12th tho bc 12th is anyway a lot more important
Thank you for the guide, really helpful♡ Do you perhaps know if one can still work in their home-country during the GKS scholarship? I read that there are strict rules on working in Korea, but no mention on online jobs outside.
Hello! Can I ask if you came from a public or private school from Grade 1-12. I'm also a Filipino student and I want to know if SKY Universities consider your high school alma mater like for example, will you have higher chances of getting accepted if you came from a private school or will they entertain you more if you cane from a more "Known" High school or it no? Do you just need to have high grades no matter what high school you came from? Is there a private school advantage in college admissions in korea? I'm currently a Grade 9 student and I'm having a hard time deciding on which high school I'm going to attend because I'm currently on a private school but I consider transferring to a public school because private is too exhausting with the complicated and toooooooo many activities. Edit: I really hope you answer this 🥺
Hi!! I payed the application fee and sent in a part of my application for Yonsei, but couldn't find any of the instructions for how to send in physical documents? also, do you know when roughly these universities would open applications for FALL 2021? Thank you!!
Hello! I'm not entirely sure why it's different but in my case, the application guide contained details on everything up until sending physical documents... It would be best to email the university directly or if you have anyone you know in Korea, call them! (best route, saved me tons of times during my application lol!) and I think applications are open around now for the fall?? But it slightly varies per university
Hello! I'm in 8th grade right now and probably in a month I'll have my final exams. Uhm I wanted to ask you that, Do we apply after 10th grade or 12th grade? I'm interested in science and want to learn dermatology in the future. So will I be able to apply after 12th grade to study the rest in korea? And will I be able to study science dermatology? Idk if my question was dumb because I don't know how things work as I'm just searching stuff about this. I'm extremely confused. I wanna be a dermatologist in the future and I don't know if thats possible that I can study in korea for that. I've been learning korean for almost a year now and I think I'll be pretty stable in korean soon..So if you could reply It'd be great! Thank you!
@anime anime apps - drops, write it, kim sejong intuitute vocab Yt channels - ttimk they teach reallly nicely!! Im not fluent still but im workin on it!
For Yonsei did you have to send in a bank statement saying how much you have in the bank? I know some colleges ask for that. If so, how much did you have to have?
I well be graduated for senior high school next year, and start looking university to study in. Can i apply in there? I'm still a senior student and i will be graduate next year, and i really want to study abroad 😳🙏🙏
helloo!! ☺️ if you took a 5 day cram review for the act may i ask the prep materials you took? i'm taking one this april 17 and i havent studied yet! : (
hello! sorry for coming back here and bothering but may I ask if you took the ACT on a computer or a paper? and how long after were your scores released? thank you!!
Nope, most of my friends got into yonsei through gks and ther grades are above 85, doesn't have to be straight A, but i think it applies to korean students not international.
Hi I'm from Bangladesh Is there any scholarship in korean in medicine??? And do I have to submit all of my grades of 12 year ?? and I'm not a Korean also I will go there as a abroad student It'll be helpful if you reply
Can anyone tell me how to convert your percentage and CGPA to GPA. I am really confused even after researching alot. Some say above 75% is 3 GPA and some say above 90% is 3GPA. I am trying to figure out what my GPA is as i got 74.8% in high school(i.e.12th std) and 9.6 CGPA in junior high school(i.e.10th std). Please help me out through this.
kindly help me, I want to apply for a fully funded bachelor degree scholarship in Korea , I’m a 25 years old girl, already graduated from my high school with a high score of 97,4% thanks to Allah and I also graduated from my college degree of pharmacy in 2020 but with a very low overall total GPA. I badly need to take another bachelor degree in engineering which is a totally different field in South Korea scholarship, so can I apply? am I eligible? Can I apply without telling that I already got a bachelor degree? Or I have to inform them and send only my high school grades and not the college grades as I’m applying for another bachelor in another field? What should I do please and thank you so much =“)
I am also an overseas korean, planning to study at korea university but I don't understand korean languange. I'm having a hard time to understand the application guide because there is no english version for overseas korean application guide. But this video helps so much, thankyou. TT
I am in 11 but after 12 I really want to go south korea for my further studies and for this I am doing lots of hardwork ❤️❤️. I have only one dream to get selected in scholarship and go there for my studies 😊😊. I want to know that we have to pay also?? or it's free for us because I belong to middle class family. My dream is very big and I have to fulfill my dream and make my parents proud on me☺️☺️. please reply me
I was planning to apply to ewha through gks university track but my documents were incomplete, today was the last of the application in ewha. So I failed to apply. Yonsei has the deadline till 4th April and I was thinking to apply but it's one of the top university and I don't have confidence like in ewha. My documents will be complete till 31 march but I am clueless what to do now. I want to apply in yonsei but I don't wanna play to lose.
