How I beat Refraction Railway 2 with the Worst Team Possible (Part 1) 

Dude I’m experiencing the same thing right now with Library of Ruina, since I’m trying to beat the game with only Roland’s floor. Needless to say, there were some brutal spikes so far, and I’m still not done with the game, but learning how to make decks that revolve around things I’ve never even looked at before (like I had no idea how powerful Bamboo hat was) and building actual ranged decks. Needless to say, I’m having much more fun with it than I expected to.

It’s chronic.

Well it just makes sense. If you're not doing SOME kind of challenge run, you wouldn't be using any of these, and if you weren't doing one THIS bad you'd probably rely on your preconceived biases of the units because you'd have additional good units pulling most of the weight. Using all the bad units really shows you how they work when they're all you can rely on

@@anabsoluteimbecile4105 oh damn I actually did the same challenge a couple months back, although I cheated by using a mod to get the black silence key page at the beginning of Star of The City. Kind of a wuss move, but the BS page is so cool and such a large draw of the general works floor that I thought the run would be a bit boring without it. (Plus Xiao and Kali still beat my ass multiple times over anyways lmao) Until that playthrough, I never realized how fun the Pinocchio pages are to use, especially with the Purple Tear key page. the light cost randomization page synergizes super well with any pages that increase the power of a specific damage type, like Overthrow, since you can spam all of them on the same turn to get insane power boosts if you get lucky with light costs. And if I wasn't lucky enough to get it, I had a different deck on PT that didn't have any page draw, which was for the abno page that shuffled all of your pages and gave you four random ones. Currently I'm attempting a general reception pages only playthrough, and I'm at Urban Plague right now. So far it's been surprisingly easy outside of having to break into the first tier of Urban Plague.

My entire Cycle 4 experience was recorded. So not quite 20 hours, but the Cycle 4 raw footage is about 5 hours long...so...

Seriously, I had only an inkling of an idea how the hell Offense and Defense levels worked and/or if they had effects on clashes until I found ESGOO. He really helps me understand what makes something in this game effective, ineffective, or somewhere in between.

UT4 Liu Gregor actually gets clash power though

The worst BASE ID he didn't want to use too many of them but hilariously enough some base IDs are better than most of their respective 2* ID's. All of Faust's other ID's are pretty decent for the most part if not outright good most of the time her base being pretty mediocre even in the realm of base ID's

I also need to save up enough credit on my Google rewards ($20 preferably) to hopefully buy a "no ads" bundle or a battle pass. Playing fortress saga and the no ads bundle is $18 A God damn scam that i would not have participated in if I didn't have google rewards

I don't regret a second of it. Even if the boulder falls back down, I accomplished what I wanted to accomplish. So really, one MUST imagine ESGOO happy.

Steam Transport was already misrable with my Base Sinner run.

I find Talsiman Sinclair is better for his support passive, since giving K Corp Hong Lu 8 Talisman + his dimension shredder UT4 gives you an AOE 8 rupture and 4 rupture count

I still find Slosh Ishmael being underapreciated in her role of being the meat shield.

Word of advice, you can beat rr2 with basically anything suficiently leveled team. Turn counts really only matter for the steam robot abno and for the special banners which are just cosmetic anyway.

​​@@funninoriginal6054 well the other problem is that I just started playing about last month and I just found out some mechanics that I don't know before (I never knew offense level is helpful in clashes). I do have some good ID (i.e. I Need More Boulets), though still not 35upt4. The last time I tried I died to fox at 0 cycle (pre-I Need More Boulets) and I was thinking about sharding the purist charge team but I was too lazy to actually farm MD for hours...so yeah wish me luck. Edit = also, thanks for the advice.

It's certainly possible, and honestly I considered the Liu team as it seems pretty fun! I also just love the chargebros, and burn MIGHT come in handy for some of the tankier fights. What made me not do it is the fact you have to fight the talisman doll 5 times, and for some reason he deals your burn damage back to you. I have no clue why they did that to burn only, as if burn wasn't suffering enough already...

@@adityaardhynugraha5033 Esgoo covers some pretty important mechanics so you can binge his videos if you want. Also, rr2 allows you to grab one ID from your friends, so you dont need to level and uptie absolutely everything. If you want, i can share my friend code so you can borrow ids from me.

So this was a question I asked myself too, but I ultimately decided to just use the most useless support passives, instead of one that would actually harm me. If I could go back, I would change Ncliff to Suncliff. I do not think it would have been that much worse, since it mostly would have meant Slosh or Zwei Rodion got hit. They didn’t struggle with sanity too much, so the Blunt DMG up was kind of a benefit.

Every skill has an offense lvl modifier. Offense lvl is sinner lvl + modifier. Base Mersault has -3 to offense lvl on all skills so at lvl 12 his offense lvl is 12-3=9. Every sinner has defense lvl modifier. Base Mersault has +3.

@@zephyrprime8 when you look at id it will have a shield with a number thats your defense lvl. Hover over it to see your modifier. When you look at a skill you will have a sword icon. Hover over it to see your modifier. This is on the same screen where you lvl up sinners.
