Points cannot be bought, and are earned via time watched. The betting aspect is basically just gambling with monopoly money; nothing serious actually lost or gained, other than bragging rights and pride, and seeing numbers go up or down

I think the thing is, it's hard to tell if a challenge is going to be hard or very hard because you don't know how many standard deviations of luck is required at your peak performance, and the difference between 2 standard deviations and 3 is about the difference between requiring 45 runs and 700.
