In this video I will walk you through how I became a corporate pilot! Starting out with just a love for airplanes, and now a corporate captain, I hope this video will help to introduce you more to me, and give you some inspiration to start your own journey.
The path I took was:
1. Getting my private pilot certificate when I was in high school.
2. I went to Kansas State University - Salina to their aviation program.
3. After obtaining my instrument, commercial, CFI, CFII, and multi, I instructed for K-State.
4. Internship as a Second-In-Command Intern at FlightSafety International.
5. Hawker 900XP First Officer based in California.
6. Citation 525, and 560 captain in Las Vegas

Great video. Exactly kind of information a was looking for. I'm in my 30's non pilot and my dream is to be a corporate pilot after my boys get out of school. Hoping to start training soon. I have 6 years to do it :)

I did get some scholarships, but definitely not a full ride. I was able to escape without many loans. I will try and make a video talking about paying for it!

I'm very fortunate that I was able to get into flying early, but the path for me from first flight to first job as a CFI was only about 3.5 years, so definitely a time commitment, but not too bad either...

That's a good question! Overall dream jet would be the B-1 lancer, but I don't think I'll ever have that chance lol. Biz jet though, I would love a chance to fly a really nice Gulfstream.
