South African fathers* .... Families are very much intact in other African countries because they did not have the same history as SA. Black families had to be broken because it was good for the economy of the time.

But Thandeka it's a Zulu name who grown up in setswana environment. Like my daughter got a Zulu name and surname but grew up in mums, but she speak setswana le sepedi.
That's the beauty of being South African. We are different shades of brown and fall on many sides of the Nguni Tribe yet we still understand each other. It's magical. I am Zulu from KZN yet I understand what she's saying.
When someone speaks to you in isiZulu it's not an attack on you, neither do you have to respond in isiZulu. When they say they don't understand, they could probably be genuine and you may try explain
