I have been on the self-taught journey for over 2 years. I gave up and I came back. I have been using the same resources you mentioned in the video but only completed a front-end course on FreeCodeCamp. Not ready to quit yet. Not going back to the tutorial hell. So, I am sitting myself down to work on a presentable project for real. Thank you for sharing.

I’m currently working on the Odin Project’s react section of the curriculum. The Odin Project is very difficult but it is also very rewarding once you understand the concepts and apply them. I can’t wait to start applying for jobs in the future. Even though I am not ready for a job yet, I am very excited to keep learning and moving forward.

Yes true, most self taught RU-vidrs only focus on easy webdev then complain about lack of work in over saturated market. A 3 year BSc degree can easily be finished in 2 years without all the silly holidays & breaks. You could push for 1.5 years but at any reputable institution you will always cover c, c++ & java, even as your first languages as they help illustrate computer science fundamentals very well compared to higher level script type frameworks such as JavaScript & python.

@codebankai
@codebankai Год назад
Hi there, thanks for your comment, it is normal to forget stuff and you don’t have to memorize everything some stuff will come natural by practicing and others will not come as easy, you need to break the fear of starting a project, break it down to small pieces/features and then start building it piece after piece and whenever you get stuck google is your best friend and now also you can add chatgpt to that you will keep getting stuck and then find a solution and so , problems will keep repeating so eventually you will remember what to do. And this is how you will learn how to code. So go for it start building something without a tutorial you can do it. Hope that helped
