Long time viewer, first time commenter. You're modest when you say you originally stood out largely because few people were doing what you were doing. The reason you've always stood out is because you also just seem like a good guy. That alone is unusual in the youtube gamer space. I'm sure I'm not just speaking for myself when I say that watching you transition into real world racing, and then actually being good at it too, makes all of us who've been with you for a long time incredibly proud. You deserve your success mate.

I've commented many times how your content changed my life but here it goes again. I struggled with addiction for a long time. I tried many times to get clean but failed miserably. When I found your channel, I didn't even know about sim racing. I was immediately hooked and having something to pour my time and energy into was crucial in keeping me sober. I'm now 7 years clean and have an awesome sim rig; something I could never have afforded in the past. Seeing you succeed in racing reminds me of how far I've come. Thank you for all you do Steve. I remember in 2013 looking for Forza 4 videos trying to learn how to drive/race (mainly because I had the rude awakening that Need For Speed was not as realistic), I found a video of you and literally learning a lot about the technical side of racing (im still trash). From your stuff I learnt about how apexes work, driving lines, fast in slow out and etc. That was a real eye opener and got me more interested in racing more than drifting. I was watching SLAP, AR12 and BlackPantha back then but they mainly showed drift or more street content which I was slowly weening off. I ended up buying GT6 too because of learning from your Forza vids and trying to race in a somewhat "Real Driving Simulator". But damn the channels grown since then and I'm glad I found the channel. You're literally the only RU-vidr that I've consistently watched since back then now that I've realized lol

What you said about having nothing going on and wanting something to talk about and be proud of, that really resonated with me. I've been in the same position, but what I've put time into is writing and painting rather than sim racing. It really made me kind of emotional to hear from somebody who was in a very similar situation as I am now (I even have a warehousing job!) and who found something they cared about, put time into and kept with, and found success. Thanks for sharing Steve

I love what you have done. I'm an old guy that spent boat loads of time on a PC based GT racing sim back in the late 90's. I had the force feedback wheel and pedals. I loved it !! Working out tire pressure and brake bias on different tracks and I got really good. There is nothing boring about Racing if you can translate the experience effectively whether it's in Sim or IRL. This is what you have done. While there is no physical threat when Sim racing, Your heart rate will go UP in a massive spike, Your grip on the wheel and determination to "manage" the situation to not only survive, but come out ahead. This is what it's all about. Love your channel. Can you hook up a heart monitor and show it during your races ? It would be absolutely Wild.

I have been watching you since your first Gran Turismo videos. It's amazing, and every time you take a break, I keep checking my notifications and your channel to see new videos or to watch the old ones. Your channel is just perfect! Keep working hard because I feel blessed to support you even further. I can say my most favorite video is 'Gran Turismo Sport: Yet Another Ridiculously Close Race,' racing an MX-5 around Laguna Seca.

Hey Steve, I think I landed on your Channel during 2020. I really enjoy your RL-Racing content. What differentiates you from others is, that you don't use über-hyped-up screaming videos with massive clickbaity thumbnails and titles. I sincerely enjoy your style. I like your calm way of talking, packing all the humor in there and staying true to yourself. I like your way of commentating and of course, your racing and your story. As many pointet out, I think the whole community is proud of you and proud of what you created. I am! You are a great lad! Keep on going your way, however it turns out. What you do is highly appreciated, who you are is warmly recieved. Thank you!

Hi Steve, viewer here. Just would like to say I'm glad I've been around since before you went full time (I even remember when you announced it during a video), I've seen the sim setup video, the rammer at Yas Marina (where you drive the BAC), the video where you said you used to drive a Punto (IIRC), the video where you drove an old F1 car at a karting track (shouldnt that be in your racing exp? haha) I used to sleep watching your videos after a long day of work sometimes and am really thankful for you content, my friend! Watched the vlogs and saw the channel grow really fast (in my opinion). I must say that today I have a logitech G29, have started karting (in rentals, because the sport is very expensive) and in july I'll make my dream of driving at the nurburgring in real life come true! and I must say watching your videos definitely inspired me to become closer to motorsport in general (I also grew up playing GT). You are such an inspiration, Steve, I wish you all the best! Who knows maybe I start my own youtube channel? ;) Respect and admiration from Brazil! Let me know if you're going to be at the nurburgring in july, would really like to have a photo with you!

Stumbled upon this channel at a very shitty time in my life and whenever i saw Steve upload another "Forza Motorsport 6 Mayhem lobby" Video my day was saved. 50k subs back then. If you end up quitting RU-vid because the big racing team is calling i`ll shed a tear of joy for you... Thanks for all the laughs and ACTUAL gameplay advice. Keep rocking A̵l̵e̵x̵.... S̵c̵o̵t̵t̵.... This channel's always been great, but ever since that legendary Cheating Scum video came out, it has soared to new heights, and the channel's identity and embrace of memery was born. Here's to a million subscribers! Keep up the great work

Hey Steve, viewer here. I’ve been subscribed to your channel since 2014 back in the glorious forza 5 days. Such great memories of hopping in your livestreams/forza lobbies trying to keep up with you. I watched a ton of your content as well as raceboy77’s, and your community was the most fun to game with. Thanks for all you’ve done man, you’ve brought a lot of people out of their shadow realm🏎️💨

Thank you Steve for bringing value to this community, you're really an inspiring person and I wish all the best of luck in the future, I follow you since 2021 where I used to watch your GTSports videos in the office when no one was looking, thought that was because I loved racing but with time i realised i enjoy watching YOU racing, so happy to see the full evolution of things, and how you got into where you are now, and looking forward your GT4 career, literally that format is one of the best , good luck mate ( also thanks for helping us sleep at night lol)

I watch a lot of RU-vidrs but you are one of few (if not the only one) I watch videos of in their entirety without skipping seconds. You may have changed in your driving style, your way of speaking or editing videos, but your willingness to be hilarious yet competitive and informative is something you’ve been having since the beginning and it’s the thing you never changed about yourself. That demands admiration and respect. More than once you inspired me to get on gt sport or gt7 and try to follow your ghost in a time trial or replicate a race you did. We even raced together a few times in daily race C and you proved yourself to be really fast, correct and hard to overtake. I began following you in the early gt sport days and what I’ve seen from you is only the beginning. Thanks for the countless hours of entertainment, I know there’s still a lot more to laugh about ❤

You've come so far and still have nothing but the cosmos ahead of you. Jimmy too. Between you two, my sim racing inspiration and motivations are alive and well. I joined a new league recently and it's been really challenging but also very rewarding and educational. Right now I'm 6th(lol) in our championship and happen to be a contender for it somehow.

Well done Steve 👍 great story and journey.. and a massive thank you for costing me a small fortune 👍 so i had not long had a ps5, seen GT7 was on the way and hopped on gt sport with a controller remembering how much fun i had on the early gt's.. checked out RU-vid, found you and a couple of K later what little spare time i have is in the rig in PSVR2.. wouldn't change it for the world and loved every minute of it and watching your journey and unique way of putting it over to your audience. Its been a pleasure and given me a massive distraction from a pretty intense life👌 Thank you !
