I have known pastors who have been afraid to preach the third use, and pastors who confuse it with the Gospel. Thankyou for your talk. We need to know that plumbline
Seems to me the gospel of the LCMS is that God's grace is available only through Jesus' voice on earth, the LCMS pastor who holds the keys to heaven and your salvation.
I'm 60, also. We are too young to be true Boomers. I wasn't protesting Vietnam in the 1960's. I was protesting naps, probably. Those born 1960-1964 should be called BoomerXers. I'm going with that. Actually my mother used to say "Clean up your room! Do you want to be like a dirty hippy?"
Wilken speaks out both sides of his mouth. He rails against antinomianism on one hand, but on his show he has Chris Rosebrough who promotes online communion, and hes an apologist for Harrison and LCACA which had Radical Lutheran influences.
I disagree. He might have Roseborough on his show who supports certain things, but he has all kinds of guests on his show. Baptists, Presbyterian, ELCA and others. But he tells you where he stands and I like that about him. And this speech he gave was great to hear, because antinomialism is everywhere.. it's changing the church
@LXX-Mercedes how does it endorse their beliefs? There are issues that go day to day in our country and around the world. We know our side, I think it's good to have guests from other areas of Christianity.
