I don't know how you don't have more subscribers! I breed mice, but they're very similar I've found. I love seeing other's set ups so I can improve my own. You've got a new subscriber! 🐁
I have 5 ball pythons 3 normals, 1super pastel and 1 piebald (my personal favorite). I would like to start up a small rat breeding set up . My ball pythons seems to do much better on the small, to smallish medium rats 🐀. Over the last few years I've ascertained that if I keep my pythons on smaller rats because (through experiments) they will take a small to smallish medium rats all 5 will feed nearly every time. Thank you for the encouragement and motivation to move forward with this project asap
I've been seeing everywhere that pine and cedar shavings are bad to use? Like the rats could possibly get respiratory infections and it could be bad for the snakes health? Have you heard this? I use aspin instead.
hey! ive never bred rats before but am starting and i was wondering how long the pine takes until it starts smelling? ive got 3 rats (one male, two females) and i bought the paper stuff for them because my tank would always smell if i used shavings, when i had hamsters, but theyre both rodents, so i didnt think it would be too much different. should i switch to the pellets and pine shavings?
Hi! I'm planning to get a snake but I was advised to get rats/mice first. My question: Do rats bite off mesh screen? I've owned hamsters before and they bite a lot. I don't want to have rats on the loose inside the house lol. + I'm planning to put them in a plastic bin/storage box. Thanks!
hi! im sure you’ve already figured this out by now BUT they can chee through it IF the bin isnt deep enough. make sure the tank is deep enough and you should be A- okay!
