I’m feeling like August was unexpectedly expensive and I blew through what I planned to spend. I’ve seen a few of Carter Sullivan’s videos too! Same as Fatima said Carter kick started me getting a handle on my finances as well.
I've had plenty of months like that where the money just seems to fly out of my pockets. Give yourself grace and remember that each month is a clean slate 🫶🏽. Shout out Carter !

hey! for sure, so the 1700 is just a product of my liking a $600 buffer in my account . That number is something I picked in college and now it's just kind of stuck 🤷🏾♀️ I like to have a buffer ready in my checkings in case of an emergency need for immediate money and I have just worked off of 600 for a while now, no good reason for that number haha. Then I know I need 1100 for rent ready at the first of the month so 1700 is just the combo of rent and my buffer. 😊 I do love the idea of a zero based budget though!! Just the thought of it is aesthetically pleasing to me
Insane, right! I will say I count toiletries and groceries all in one so that ups it a bit but more than anything it’s just these Hawaii grocery prices, they hurttttt😅
Haha you’re 100% right, my budgeting videos are always a bit chattier . Like I said, I frame them like I’m just discussing my budget with a friend. so these may not be the vids for you … I know I can talk 😅
