Danny a very impressive setup, you defiantly haven't wasted your money and I totally agree, client perception is just as important as all the other Cinema photography elements. If it looks to be an impressive setup the client sees that as value for money, its worth the cost and you must know what your doing, which you do. :) It looks like its actually very comfortable to use, love you man and your content.
Hey man ! Loved the video, and always have a good giggle at your lighthearted humour dude🤣 Just got offered my first day in camera, coming from lighting. Couldnt be more stoked man. Thanks for all that youve taught me these last few months without knowing🙌 Cheers from Vancouver
Hi DannyI have the same camera Canon C200 and last week i have bought Atomos ninja v5 and i'm trying to figure out how to setup the camera to shoot 10 bit 4k, please if you can guid me to fix this issue.
Danny which camera you think has better Picture Quality and Dynamic range Canon c200 in Raw Lit or Sony FX3 10Bit 422 ??? I know your familiar with both cameras so you’re Deff the authority on the matter.
Dude! This is incredible!!! The shot from 0:24 to 0:32 was it shot with the 24-70 2.8 from sigma? Where can I watch that video you made? Super cool and awesome Alexa look!!!
Danny Gevirtz when you hook up your smallhd monitor are you still able to use the canon monitor simultaneously for touch autofocus/navigating the menus?
It's funny that you went gold mount. In Portland, that's pretty much all we use, unless an owner-operator has v-mount. But, it seems like everyone else uses V-mount.
I just really love your channel, don't know why I found you so late (first video I saw --> donating a whole camera setup to an African guy (im sorry I forgot the name haha)), keep up the great work! Enjoying all of your videos so far!
@@DannyGevirtz Fairs, thanks for replying! It's the only thing that might be holding me back from getting that camera because the media is so expensive. The 8bit XAVC is fine for event work but anything else I'd rather have the RAW. Currently using an FS7 but it's a bit damaged/on it's last legs.
OMG I love your hat shpeel! 1: I never wear a hat my self 2: I have made some test run video's for my youtube channel and guess what...every test run I have done I look 100X better with a hat as apposed to no hat. Even my wife who despises me wearing them says I have to wear em from now on. Hence my profile pic rocking the hat. I think there is a hat conspiracy when making video's that I may have uncovered. Do you normally wear hats outside of making your vids?
Nice setup, but maybe you should have tried to get another mount, because it could have just been an old or faulty mount, (just suggesting, no hard feelings!!!) :)
I got a Canon SL2, a tripod and a monopod. Great budget small set up for beginners. I wanna build a cage tho, I'm upgrading little by little since it's not a job... Yet
Wow, what a joy to watch this video! A ton of emotions in just 12 minutes! I was inspired, laughing out loud, and got choked up towards the end! Thanks @DannyGevirtz for being authentic!
@@DannyGevirtz Thanks for Info, Longtime user of Canon c100 MK2 but purchased the C200 a month ago. I've have a music video gig next Monday and have been going back n forth with wether I should shoot in 12bit Raw only having a 512gb & 256 Cfast or should I shoot it on my EosR with Ninja V where I have a 1tb SSD for 10bit Pro Res. In your opinion does the 12bit Raw blow Eos R out of the water?
@@KamalJones at the end of the day its all gonna look similar if its going to web. 512 and 256 wqill be plenty. Just have one card dumping as the other is put the work if youre gonna eat up both.
Another great video as always. On your customer perception point, probably going to purchase a Steadicam finally after doing some extensive research as I am getting more into video shooting along with my photography.
@@DannyGevirtz so I have been shooting videos with my canon EOS R and 24-70mm lens (very light set-up comparatively). Mostly I am shooting in 24fps for dance performances and speeches at event, and as you had mentioned I get a lot of small jittery movements in my footage. So much so I wasn't able to use some of footage because it was that bad. So I thought to avoid that I should look into Steadicam (I am thinking of purchasing Flycam redking), I also tried ronin s (rented) but I didn't like the feel of it.
Danny Gevirtz no i should have said that more clearly i have a v mount battery plate, with a shape 98wh battery. I use the canon 24-70 f2.8 and i have the exact same small rig rails as you. Ill send a link to some of my stuff
@@DannyGevirtz Hey man! itd be cool to see a video on how you expose for clog 3 and the color correcting/ grading process with the c200. Im having a bit of trouble figuring it out. Just an idea though 😁
@@DannyGevirtz maybe just showing your way to do it would be nice! We may not be pro in this, but many videomakers out there could use our help ^^ Still, your method worked! haha Thanks for replying :)
Hey Danny - thanks for the video! I've been waiting to upgrade my C200 setup with a gold-mount battery for extended run time, what gold-mount plate would you recommend?
I love the consistency in regards to your view on gear. I think gold mount batteries may have just changed my whole life... The FS5 has limited battery solutions.
