I need to practice making bases. This one is definitely right up my alley in how it's structured. I just need to practice it. This coming wipe I'll give it a shot.
Love the vid, quick thing, for both the upper compound entrances, you should make the triangle under them armored, because otherwise you can skip the honeycomb (with only 1 rocket 8 expo) versus going through both sheet walls, now you can go through 1 sheet door and 1 sheet floor. (Hope this makes sense I'm practically illiterate) edit: after re reading this and cringing, what I mean is that the honeycomb to the drop-downs are 2 sheet walls, but if you go through the sheet door on the roof, you are greeted with a sheet triangle, allowing you to skip 1 sheet wall and instead go through 1 sheet door to get to the same place... Hope this helps, idk what I'm saying anymore
Ahh yes I get what you mean. The triangle on the roof where the drop downs are should be hq because if you go through it, it bypasses the sheet metal honeycomb. Thanks for spotting that.

I've seen a lot of superb Rust players on Twitch, RU-vid and played with some of the best...but this Aloneintokyo creator is the #1 Rust player I've ever seen! He is unmatched, and definitely the pinnacle of this game. A true Master!
Very Nice Base.. Only thing I would add in case of being raided by clan, is I would put a box with a gearset, and hammer, and a sleeping bag in each of the 3 external tc's between the 2 windows. Will give you 3 extra secure spawn points in the event your bags/beds are destroyed inside the base. Just a thought. Great Video
Clans are all that have raided me this wipe, I've built this twice in a week and the clans have came both times. Clans after finishing raiding complain about how much it cost them 🤭🤭 and how little they got as I'm solo

Love the base, but it has one big flaw! When you use windows in the dropdown shoot the bottom shotgun won't hit a target that crouches in the bottom of the shoot. You can jump down, crouch, shoot out the top shotgun trap and then throw explosives to destroy the bottom shotgun trap. One way around this is to place 2 shotgun traps on the walls of the bottom section before placing the window. This means you cant repair the loot room if you get raided. What I'm trying to say is that using garage doors is the best option. Garage doors are flexible with trap placement and you can repair the loot room after a raid. With a window a full metal kit can jump down and almost always survive the two traps while he falls down. I've used Heavy Plate in raids for this purpose. Garage doors have its issues too, but overall I'd say go with garage doors for sure! You can make an argument for low walls, but they are a pain to live with and also cant be repaired. You can also raise the shotgun trap from the floor by placing it on 4 stacked rugs. But this still won't fix the problem. I did not notice a noticeable difference in my testing. I've died too many times testing this stuff.. TL;DR Use garage doors instead of windows in the drop down shoots.
@@aloneintokyo Did even more testing. With garage doors, place the two boxes as far back as possible to avoid raiders simply standing on ladders and reaching the box without triggering the trap. Shotgun placement is key. Place them both on the roof in their rooms, not on the walls or floors. From the middle of the roof place the shotgun traps slightly closer to the shoot. If placed too far back raiders can reach loot from ladders without triggering traps. The further forward they are placed the weaker they are to splash damage. To combat splash place more traps far back in the room on the walls.
Also keep the double door frame in stone. If it gets destroyed the top traps become stronger. Whenever possible lock all the boxes in the shoots. This allows trap placement to be more flexible and you can then place traps further back. Locks counters raiders that would otherwise just reach loot from a ladder without having to go far enough down to trigger traps.
this is super deceptive, as a raider id think this was a easy snatch and grab, until i realize im not halfway in and already went through all my rockets c4, and explo ammo. super sick design man!
Been practicing, i now know the design in and out. Sometimes its dark and i didnt know where in the base you built. i think the stonewalls can be tricky do get in place, so those things u maybe can give a explanation in text while doing it (tips and tricks) love the roof honeycomb and the small shooting floors aswell as heli platform. I also wanna say that i love your style of editing and your content.
Just come off a wipe, defended 4 raids with this build after using it for the first time (got emptied 5th time, but there was 4v1 such as life) . You sir, are a legend.
Damm dude even a base build video is sick when you do it your way. I like the build, especially the outer tc's with the hesw going through the stairs. Heli pad was sweet with a tuna can lamp. You really need a nice fireplace with a chair to contemplate things that need contemplating. Maybe a bear skin rug 🤔. All in all great vid my dude. Reeeeeee.
I've now been building this base for the past few wipes and its held up very well except when 1 group rocketed a hole right to TC in the back and had incen rocketed a blanket of fire over the entire base
The way you can get into the compound from the second floor of the base, but not get back up there is genius, if your compound is breached you don’t have to worry about door campers from the access points

You should use a U shape pattern for your gate airlock. So one square foundation and two triangle foundations on both sides making a blunt U shape footprint. That way you can see anyone standing right in front of the door.
Any good to use a prison cell door at the front of loot boxes? apparently guns and flame can shoot through it, so might be better than a wall/garage door.. but I think they're weaker though.
I very much like the design. Gonna try this out next wipe. Although I might need to watch this few times to understand where you were at some points. Might want to add some different camera angles for when you build it :)

Great vid as always. I was playing around and testing your tc room with workbench 2 and stairs in front of it. I can't replace the window over the tc room once the stairs are placed in there. Maybe a recent update patched this?
You have apparently updated you base in your most recent videos. Can you please make a new version of your solo fort? The shooting floor on the upper stage is a must. I'd like to do it myself i don't know how.

@@aloneintokyo yo i know this is an old vid but what is the reason at all to connect those tcs close to your honeycomb with the stairs? I understand it as a spacing thing initially with the twig, but then after you set the external TC up you make the stair ramps and sheet metal them, what is the point of that? I understand the stairs are cheaper than foundations, but why build that at all? Thanks man
