Woodworking is so tough because you don’t just have to be good at cutting wood you have to know the math for the measurements, the science for the coatings, you have to know how to artistically paint and shape the project and then you have to know all of the digital components of working the camera and editing the videos. It takes an insane amount of time, effort and skill for something like this and it looks like it came out perfect. Great work 10/10

Tip in the future for any big surfaces you use water based on. You can use a high quality thin nap roller or a good foam roller to apply. But use it without the roller cage. Just dip one side of the roller in the finish and then wipe it one the piece. Or even better is the get a wood floor finishing block and pad. Super cheap and reusable asking as you store the application pad in water between uses.

Thanks for the tip! I will try that next time.

The water base polyurethane dries fast yes BUT !! That’s the problem. The air bubbles don’t have time to rise and pop on their own. Oil base dries much slower thus allowing air bubbles to escape.

I think you should have screwed the plate to top of the leg, then just glued the top itself on. No visible fasteners, and glue would have held just fine. Also, should never sand above 120 for stain or finish. It wont allow proper penetration if you go too high.

Good to know. Thank you!

@@StarnerWoodworking definitely a beautiful table though, and tons more skill than your average person. Might have to steal your design!
