How I Built A 2 story C&C Cage For My Guinea Pigs : DIY VS Store Bought

In this video I will show you all how I built my own c&c cage. 🌿🐹Guinea Pig Jungle Merch : guineapigjungl... I copied the same style cage I bought from Guinea Pig Cages Store. I love the cage I bought from them, but if you need a less expensive option this is the way to go! If you have any questions about about this process please just comment below and I will happily answer them.
Please note that basically all cages that are offered in pet stores do not meet the required amount of space for your guinea pig. Not only are they not big enough they are way over priced. C&C cages will not only make your piggies happy but they will save you money! Hope you enjoyed the video :)

I love her house. Doesn’t matter how small it is her decor hits different😍 even if there are rainbow walls and tie dye flooring she can do it like a queen.. I mean she already is a queen but she has 3 crowns. 1 for decor. 2 for be the funniest and coolest person ever. 3 for being a guinea pig pro 💕

Thanks! I only know how to decorate with plants and crystals lol. My husband came up with that cage idea. We actually just bought another shelf to make second one!

Thank you!!! I love nesting. It’s the one thing about covid that’s been nice. Because I don’t have any obligations to leave except for work! Now I say that but of course I wish nothing about this virus ever happened. Hope you are safe and healthy🥰✌🏽

I love your piggy room!! Yeah I think the typical c&c squares are the 14 inch ones (they are 9x9 mini wire squares if that makes sense). But this clearly worked too!

I love all of your videos, debating to get a c&c cage for my baby guinea pig. she needs a better home , but she is a room with a bunny (they are only 2 months apart) my rabbit runs around whole room 24/7 before I go to bed my guinea pig goes back to her cage so she can eat rest of her hay plus her victim c food. I want to get c&c cage but I don’t know how to make a door to open & close for my guiñea pig any ideas?

where's the cage from? I currently have my female and male guinea pig in the MidWest Guinea Pig Habitat (they do free roam for 4+ hours!) but I feel like they need an upgrade!

Colorplast or more commonly known as corrugated plastic 👌 if you are in the states Home Depot carries it

Lol the dog laying on your coroplast! 😂 isnt funny how they want to come "help" when your trying to do something! My cat would come plop down and stretch out everytime i was making a cage.

Oh man it was kind of an ordeal. My husband had to do most of it. I wish we were making videos when we made the tower but we hadn’t started yet.

Hello there, Just had 2 questions for you. What did you use to make the floor with? And the secondly Is I notice a lot of people, including yourself, seem to enjoy using vinyl blankets instead of wood chips. How often would you have to clean them/ how many would you have in order to readily replace them? Loved the new cage design, thank you for the insightful video!

Hi!!! We used corrugated plastic. Home Depot has it and other home build stores. And I think you Can it on amazing but maybe not in as big of sheets. We use fleece so I am not sure about vinyl blankets. And I do full sheet changes once a week and if certain areas are over soiled I use smaller pee pads in those areas. Hope this helps!✌🏽

What is the size cut out for the ramp, out the coroplast? How wide and length is the ramp, did u use the coroplast for the sides of he ramp too? After watching this wed did the same but no 2nd level yet... love ur channel we get ours in 2wks......

My husband made the ramp so I have no way to try and explain it unless we do a tutorial. Which we aren’t making a new cage anytime soon Bc we are in the midst of a renovation. But yes the sides are also the colorplast . It’s the same way we made the liter boxes where we cut halfway through the plastic so it folds up. Hope that helps!

Then we use duct tape to tape it to the upper level and use strong double sided tape to tape down a rubber outdoor style mat to the ramp so the piggies have grip going up. It’s rubber on the back side and short fibers with ridges on the side the piggies use

Thanks! It’s just adhesive paper. I got it from target. It’s meant to be drawer adhesive liner and then I just got stickers of plants and stuck them on there to look like wallpaper
