@@AdrianTwarog I know nothing about web or app dev lol and I was wondering if you could make the RPG a actual website so It Is easier to just get the RPG because I have no Idea what I am doing Im trying to learn game development I know the basic of CSS and HTML but that is about it Im trying to learn Lua and C# and C++
I need this, I have a hard time feeling motivated and I get even more unmotivated if I don’t feel like I’m improving. This is perfect for me because I love RPG games.
Sounds more like a mind block. Mind blocks are incredibly hard to get around. You can read a book called EXPAND the POWER of Your SUBCONSCIOUS MIND. By Dr Joseph Murphy. He describes how to tackle your doubts and reasons why your mind “thinks” it can’t do stuff.
Legitimately the only ad that has truly piqued my interest. This would help the loss of motivation that lots of people experience when doing tasks unlike in games when you can see the gains you make each time like an increase in strength for a stat, or maybe you level up a skill, but in contrast to real life: You don’t see the increase in ‘exp’ when learning something in real life feeling like you just don’t get anywhere but with this it could bridge the gap of actually seeing the improvements you make each time! Or the short version: sounds like a really awesome idea bro 👍🏼
You should make sessions in the app. People can start a “coding with … “ session and end it and gain points that way instead of getting points automatically every day. This application honestly seems like it could become a big thing and I wish you luck🍀
Not sure if hes made it yet, but i have an idea for an official app on this idea. As of watching solo leveling, it could possibly be like that, like.. a daily training, but also irl quest completing (based off chosen likes, almost like choosing classes. Choose a class, as in a like, such as language or coding) and not being able to choose a new class until youve completed all base quests, and then having the choice of doing mastery quests and start to learn those skills more, for language to be fluent or coding to be always in your head, and know how to problem solve code and perfect you craft. You create new "loadouts" when you choose a new class, and there can be some kind of pvp minigames or like actually fun and challenging dungeons or smth with players of different classes in real life on the game, so each loadout with each different class (element or special magic type, so you can think of it as all elemental classes as real things or smth like coding being "spacial magic" and stuff) can upgrade their own character with skill points earned from their class quests and masteries. When one class is mastered, it can combine with a new loadout to make a dual power loadout, with the mastered skill and the choses, unfinished or maybe even already completed one, and combine your skill points and max level counts. A fun way to keep people active if theres quick matches and gamemodes along with unique abilities for their class so not every player with the same class has the same abilities, even some unique quests. Keeps people active on games whole also doing their training and practice! (Physical would obviously be the easiest quests to do, just do a workout or smth, with some kind of phone motion tracking? If thats possible)
Seems that this is an idea being arrived at by a number of us, all with different specific notions. I'd love to find a team to be a part of to develop an environment around this idea. The potential is off the charts! The on ramp to getting something going is unclear to me though.
Although I might not use this information (I am too scared) I'm still super glad you elaborated on what you were doing and explained it thoroughly while keeping the cinematics and developing top notch. I often watch videos for game development where the OP just says "Code in the Movement" or something like that, it's nice to see this! 🔥🔥🔥
Make it multiplayer and ability to add people to your party and use training/KT to level up as group.. make some mean boss for each level (questionnaires maybe) which you can tackle individually or with group
This would be cool to use in a classroom setting, have the class split into Parties, and the Tests would be the dungeon bosses. Have the groups start at D rank and as they Level up they can get to S rank. Etc.
No joke i was making notes on a simular device but my idea is a bit different on how leveling and experience goes and attributes go beyond the limits of what im sering here but its awesome to see someone other than myself to be exploring this idea.
I've been working up a lot of deeper ideas for this as well. Sad to say, I'm an idea guy, not a programmer. I'd love to be part of a group to build out a robust environment around this idea!
Hey man I doubt this you will see this but I think it would mean the role to me and many other people off you launched this app it is such a good idea and it can also keep other people active so if you can do it launch the app your a amazing and if you don’t some great person might
Bro made an ad to show off his digital design RU-vid channel and inadvertently made one of the best app ads and what makes the attraction of this app even strong is that I can’t even find the damn thing
I been wanting to build this for years but i am no programmer. thank you! could someone link my a step by step guy how to use GIT and download it on my phone?
OK, neat video but we all want an actual app that is free. Maybe it has ads we all are used to those. But everyone wants some thing that can either be paired to like a Fitbit or a smart watch or manually input it so whether or not you’re doing a mental or physical task this app gives a fun UI to track your actual progress so every time I do a push-up it shows how much “xp” I’ve gained 😂
Me and my wife were just talking about something like this! Ours had optional family events, ‘quest lists’ which were just chores etc., and rewards for quest completion. I’m not a very skilled programmer (I had 1 class in Small Basic a few years ago, and can dive into old code to change a few values in games). But I would love to help in any way possible, even if it’s just shooting possible ideas in the dark.
We are not alone. I've been working a similar angle. It seems like a team should be formed to explore this idea in depth. I think the interest on the consumer side is high, and the potential if done well is crazy!
Hey, love your work. In regards to the slow NPM install, I've found that using WSL 2 to utilize Node on Windows has a lot faster install and build times due to the nature of the Linux filesystem.
Amazing idea, it has a lot of potential. But i think there are a lot of things that are very hard to put in a level range, like for example, leveling something like calistenics is pretty easy, you have a level and for each level you have to work to obtain skills, like a doing a plank for 2 min, doing 5 push ups and 10 squats for level one, and to go up to the next you will have to increase your strengh overall, more push ups and squats, and unlock more skills, like handstand for 5 seconds or something . Its easy because its a real skill that you are able to see. But i dont know how can you put something like programing in levels (im not a programer btw so maybe im saying nonsense). Basing your level in skill points, wich are hours of study, is not ideal, because there are dumb people (like me) and they can study for 10 hours and a very smart guy can learn what i did in 10 hours just in 2. And what do you do when you go the the next level, do a quiz of the things youre suposed to learn in that level? But wait, its possible to make another leveling sistem for the skill "study", and this skill is nedeed first to level up another skills related to study, like programing. AND THEN to not grind something constantly and lacking in another skills there can something to detect it and forces you to grind for another things like "talking to woman" or sum sht like that .Im to lazy to thing of more things, but if someone can create an app like this, it could for real change some lives for good. Im sorry if my writing is lacking, im not very good at inglish. And if someone creates this based in my idea i want 5% of the earnings of the app, or i will sneak in your house and put lego blocks in your shoes.
I'm with you on that! I've been kicking around an idea like this in hopes I can benefit, and give my son a better start, and a vehicle to facilitate accessing hyperfocus.
Some RPG games have Masteries and Specializations. Your full stack could be the Mastery and within that you have Specializations like Python, NodeJS etc.
This is the only ad I've ever clicked and you gave a a great overview of that product. That was cool and all but where is the app you said you were making? That link is just an ad (smart too since it's more revenue for you)
I got this ad below a Short. Swiped away, tapped on the comments of another video, got comments for this ad. Tapped on the comments button for the actual ad. "Feature not available for this Ad." What?
I made an almost 1 to 1 application to yours for myself a year ago but with the ability to spend your skill points to unluck skills these skills are like 1 hour of rest, 2 hours hobby like gaming and you can level up these skills or unlock more skills by spending your skill points by leveling up the skills you reduce it's cool down which is somewhat long at level 1 I was gonna finish the app and publish it but after using it for testing and debugging it got super boring like within 2 days and I got back to just using a notebook and completely abandoned the project
Interesting that it got boring so quickly. Sounds like the right type of path. I've been working on these task reward issues lately. I have been coming to the notion that dopamine can be a motivator, but it is limited in its applicability. We need to figure out how to connect with our deeper motivating beliefs and desires. I'm hoping to find a team to develop an environment around this idea of gamifying life, not as a trick, but as a tool of self development and self mastery.
As soon as I saw this ad I paused it to find the name, looked up Astra RPG on the App Store, and was incredibly disappointed to find it wasn’t a real thing. Please please please for the love of everything make this a real thing. Pretty please.
