My top tips on how to build quads and glutes and get those booty gains!
WARMUP:
10 min bicycle
Air squats
Front - & backward lunges
Wide Squat into stretch
WOKROUT:
Cable kickbacks 3 set x 12 reps each leg
Abductor machine 3 set x 12-15 reps
BB Sumo DL // 5 set x 10-13 reps
Leg extension SUPERSET sissy squats // 4 set x 10 reps each exercise
Narrow Leg press // 3 set x 10 reps
Pause smith Hip thrusts // 4 set x 10 reps
DB sumo squats // 3 set x 15 reps
Cable pull through // 3 set x 12-15 reps

This is a great video and great advice. For me, when I started doing flute activation warmups, my glutes grew quickly straight away. Gotta wake up those buns!

i started training similarly to this. slightly different order and such but i have found i FINALLY feel it in my glutes where im focusing. and then i hit everything else on its own to keep nice and even all over. i love it. i have to hit quads last though cause afterward i cant do a thing. some weeks ill switch it up and do it first so i can burn them out more effectively as a first or 2nd exercise..... thank you for such an in depth video!!!

I believe conventional deadlifts target the glutes a bit more than sumo deadlifts. That's why it is harder to feel the contraction in the glutes for sumos. However, it also depends on hip mobility and muscle-mind-connection to really feel the muscle working. I am also not a professional but I ALWAYS encourage researching your own questions, because science is always being updated and developed further!

Omg Hanna thanku, my gym doesn't have free barbell racks only small barbell and dumbell so if I want to do proper hip thrusts which is my favorite I have to use Smith machine and it's such a pain. I'm also super short as well lol. Thanku for that tip!!!

1 leg deadlifts with dbs or kbs. Underhand medball deadlift to squat Kneel pumps Is a good routine.

After your last video, I’ve decided to start with my least fav exercise. So yesterday it was abs to start. ☹️ I did get a better workout on them, though, than leaving them for last. They won’t work themselves, and for me, saving them for last is pretty much wishing them to do themselves (when I don’t talk myself out of them altogether).

Hanna, you obviously have more experience in the gym than I do, so I don't want this to sound as preaching. I just want to flag something that I do which helps me to 'feel' my sumo DLs better (and they become much harder too). I notice that when I 'reset' between the reps I feel it better. By reset I mean I fully lower the bar to the ground, then make sure I lower my hips and start pulling from the lowest position. I find that when I do straight reps (like shown on your video) without a 'reset' in between, my starting position for the pull is a bit higher (same, as I noticed for you), so less glute-hamstring and more back activation - defeats the purpose. But it does making repping out easier with heavier weight. So, as you mentioned, since we are chasing the quality here, I keep reminding my lazy ass to reset in-between the reps and boy oh boy it is fire!!!

Hi Hanna, thank you for the nice video! In the sumo deadlifts, when returning the bar back to the ground, is it better to return it slowly while maintaining the muscle strength and let the plates slowly reach the ground or is it better to kinda let go of it and drop it to the ground? I have seen it both ways and I am a bit unsure how to perform the second half of the exercise correctly and also I dont want to put too much stress on my hips. Thank you so much!!!!

Can you go over your shakes before and after workout. I just started creatine and I’m curious when you take it and why you take it before and after! The other thing is, I am trying to retrain my brain to eating carbs after pregnancy because I was diabetic! So what are your macros for muscle growth? I am having such a hard time eating carbs!

i have a problem. i can’t bulk :/ i stopped strength training and began to do slightly lower weight (so it can be controlled) but higher reps. i have a hard time seeing physical results and it’s super discouraging.

I have try everything to grow my legd and they never grow..I do hamstring and quads..like leg extensions and squads and my legs they just get hard but they don't increase size 😏..I have try protein but other areas like arms would grow but not legs..

Activate your glutes? Every glute exercise activates your glutes if doing them with proper form. Every exercise activates the muscle that youre training. You don’t have to ”activate” anything before any exercise.

I find that with the abductor, you can't do reps in the strength range because it's too easy. So I do cable standing abductor instead lol that kills me. You'll get there and think, damn that used to be hard.
