Thank you "Racer TV" for hi-lighting your bike. If you're able to do and show your builds with a weekly video, I'm all for it cause your builds are killer's.
The chrome looks amazing. Gives it such a clean look. I'm not super familiar with the process, but why not fill the gas tank with something other than air when putting it in the chrome/water tank? Like smooth pebbles or gravel or something that would weight it down. Or could you fill it with water and seal it so only the outside gets plated?
Thank you! Check out my last CB750 “ND1”. There’s abunch of photos of it on Instagram @thirteenandcompany. I had to hide a custom oil tank under the seat. It was a lot of work but it worked out great and kept the bike pretty minimal. 👊🏻
I saw this bike on google like a week ago and couldn’t find it again and I was so peeved! And a week later here I am scrolling through my feed and find it, you did such an amazing job and when I start my own project I’ll be going for the same chrome look that you did. Literally the most beautiful motorcycle I’ve ever seen.
I've owned dozens of bikes and built a few cafe's (my favorite style ) . So-many people make a mess of them, mixing styles that look terrible (with many comments about how great they are ) This bike is a beautiful and elegant machine , it would look great anywhere including an Art-Gallery . I hate doing wiring, those M-Units sound like an amazing-solution and look slick too . Dave NZ
When I first saw this bike online I became obsessed with it. I found a 1975 CB550 with 9000 miles on the clock. It’s gonna be my second build with my boys and I want it to look very very similar to this style. I’m currently doing a 1971 CB350k
Fantastic video, thanks for sharing. I’ve recently started rebuilding and modifying bikes and appreciate the time and effort you have put into this build. I look forward to watching more of your videos. Cheers Nuffy (Paul ) RU-vid: Nuffys Builds
@THIRTEEN AND COMPANY I already have a Honda bros nt400 v-twin at a workshop about 4-5 months now. I know that is a hard work to do but i didn't see any progress of the project. The only thing that it gets done is the paint-job of the frame. I haven't see yet the engine's paint-job or the new accessories of the bike that i choose. I want the job right, clean and cool. I trust my mechanic but long time, no see. So, I am here to ask you, what do you advise me to do? Thanks!
Beautiful, beautiful build, my friend! (Came here via Racer TV). You’re truly a Craftsman! Honda’s are one of my favorite motorcycles, and you’ve turned this one into a Masterpiece! A couple of things (and I hope you don’t mind), I would love to see an inverted fork set-up on this bike, and, on another note, would love to see what you could do with a Sportster. I think they make beautiful Cafés, and I KNOW that would be the case, in your hands! I just subscribed - Keep Up the Great Work! 👍✌️😎
Thanks David, A Sportster would be pretty cool. I had a stock 1988 sporty a couple years ago, it would be interesting to build one . Thanks for the the idea. 👊🏻
Hey bro, Are you able to shed any light on how the bike reacts to being lowered that much? Still handles well? Corners well? Etc Cheers mate, epic work.
Lee, Yea no worries, it’s still handles great. Lowering it does make it a little less plush as a ride in stock form. Lowering the bike as a whole doesn’t make it feel sketchy when your riding. It’s still stable in a straight line and turns great! You run into issues when you lower the front too much relative to the rear ride height.
I'm curious as well. I am building a similar bike and I like the look of the same size tires on both the front and rear wheels. The specs for CB550K / CB550F / CB500K are: Front Tire: 19-110/20 and Rear Tire: 18-120/20. Would you please let us know what you spec'd out?
Heya Kyle. Being a creator here on RU-vid myself I can say Go For It! The friendships alone that you'll gain are priceless. Not to mention, we can never have enough content creators who are creative, talented and humble. Zip~
Thank you so much for what you're doing Kyle. It's really helpful n your knowledge is so appreciated. I've lost track of you video that mentioned a build sheet that you had. I'd appreciate a copy if it's still available. Got 5 bikes to build
Epic build! How much effort goes into the fixtures, tooling, and rigs as opposed to the time spent on the bikes and components themselves? I assume a TON, but did you say "I will keep building bikes, so it is worth it"? The struggle I have is wanting to take on a project like this, and to do it right I know I need to setup the shop and invest in that....but then I only want to do one bike....
amazing job Kyle. I crave a bike like yours maybe because I'm older than she is. Anyway, it's a pleasure looking at your creations. unfortunately, California is a dream for me and a little bit too far. thanks for sharing those videos.
Just watched your bike on racer tv and followed the link to your channel. Very nice bike and video on your bike. Glad I found your channel and yes would like to see a build series or more bike videos.
Found you through RACER TV so big shout out. Your build is inspirational, thankyou for sharing it with us. I agree with others, I would watch a build series featuring one of your builds. =)
Amber ll has become my dream bike of choice. I discovered you watching Racer TV. I was wondering if you would do another build and what it would cost if I supply the donor CB 500. Your Amber build is absolutely stunning! Thank you, Al Arizona
Al, send me an email or DM through Instagram and we can discuss what something like this Costs. At the moment, I’m probably not going to take on another bike and primarily focus on building this youtube channel. I currently have 2 CB550s that I’m planning to do a build series on. Thank you man, I really appreciate it.
