How I do caulking on a concrete floor, driveway and stucco, all my videos are my ways and ideas, I always suggest anyone doing any type of work to consult professional help.
Mike what a great teacher you are in the field of concrete! Concrete is just a material where you have to be prepared to fix the battle cracks and your video gave me the confidence to get the job done!! Thank you so much!! Bravo!
We recently retired from gov/mil, and we are fixing up our old house. We learned a lot from you. Thanks again for taking the time to help us understand and making the videos! 👍👍👍
Mike! You are so inspirational! I feel bullet proof learning so much from a seasoned Mason like you. Been binge watching your videos. Cannot thank you enough for making your channel.
Mike I just want to thank you for all the advice you offer, It has helped me a lot. Our winters up in Alberta Canada are tough on concrete but the methods you show work well. Thanks so much for sharing your knowledge it truly is appreciated. Rod
I couldn't of did it better myself, great job as always Mike,I been doing masonry restoration for 26 years, and I'm still learning different tricks of the trade,I think you would agree that none of us know everything about the work we do and are always learning from one another no matter how much we think we know
I hit my sidewalk with an axe edging my lawn and watched as a crack went right across it and that bothered me for years. Thank you for your awesome video!!! I put off fixing it as I hated the look of my neighbors caulked sidewalk but the Portland trick worked perfectly!!! I’m thrilled with the result and can’t thank you enough for sharing your knowledge. You’re the best!!! NEPA represent!!!
Fantastic video, thank you!! I tried this method of repairing cracks in my peach colored flagstone walkway with the concrete repair filler. I then did the disguise method of sprinkling some left over sandstone colored grout over the concrete filler. The only thing I did different was use my leaf blower on the lowest setting to scatter the grout so it would stick to the filler.. (instead of using a broom) Can hardly tell where the repairs were done. Amazing!!
We had some flooding due to Ida. It was a reminder to fix cracks at our foundation. Caulking is perfect because it flexes but the color won't match, but your tricks makes the repairs look like new.
LOVE your way of doing things Mike! You're practical! Down to earth people that can't afford to tear up the concrete and simply want to get from a->b will appreciate your sensible and conservative methods. Keep the videos coming!
You mentioned that you learned some of that technique from painters...lol Im a painter & I just learned something new from you..Very helpful...Thank you very much
@@MikeHaduck Seriously I owe you a pint. My neighbour was panicking over a corner stress crack in her patio. Quick fill and a bit of Portland and grit over the sealant and she is delighted. You can barely make it out. Bless you up and down.
Thanks, I had some hairline cracks on exterior stucco walls, the paint on the stucco mixture worked great at cleaning up the caulking! I add just a touch of white glue to the stucco mix 'paint' as well.
THANKS ALOT FOR YOUR HELPFUL VIDEO I JUST LEARNED SOMETHING NEW! IIT'S ALWAYS GOOD TO LEARN SOMETHING NEW ESPEICALY WHEN YOUR A DIY KIND OF GUY! I LIKE DOING MOST OF THE WORK MYSELF INSTEAD OF PAYING SOMEBODY! YOUR A GOOD INSTRUCTOR 2 THUMBS UP!!
Your ways in doing things is refreshing and peaceful Mike. Love the idea of throwing the dirt back over the patch. God bless. -Jimmy (Isaiah 26:3 "Thou wilt keep him in perfect peace, whose mind is stayed on thee: because he trusteth in thee.)
Mike I learn from you video where you do cement work where you use what ever to blend the new with the old Mike I learn so much from your videos thank you for you time
I love your videos MiKe, I found the best way to repair cracks in the driveway is to fill them with silicone And then cover with sand mixture that matches the concrete I also mix sand with clear silicone and patch with that and if need to match cover with sand mixture.I have done this and m y patches of lasted for years through our Maryland winter of expansion and contraction
My father would sometimes use dirt to match mortar when he would tuck-point. It was his trick and I loved it and most of all, it worked. He could do almost anything. I love watching your videos, my father would have too. Thanks. Now I have to go patch some stucco and build a cobblestone post.
elizabeth mole-daren thanks Elizabeth, I took my niece to work with me a few days so I would leave something behind when I am gone, just passing it along, thanks mike
Mike, I greatly appreciate all of your videos. I repaired my porch yesterday using your technique and will patch up my garage and driveway in the next couple of days. Thanks again. -Al
By the time the Garage floor had dried Mike, you could be arranging for some of them Wimmin with the high heeled fancy dancing shoes on for a bit of dance. All the very best to you from England.
