Thank you for this information, you made some really great points. I have a very small single needle business and am really itching to get a multi needle. Unfortunately, my business needs to pay for it and I am no where near those numbers yet. I feel encouraged after watching your videos!
As usual, another informative video. I especially like the phrase "garment decorating equipment." Also, congrats to your mom. A bullseye in axe throwing is very impressive!
This comment right here. This just boosted me. Agh. Gave me some motivation. Thank you. I’m working on it. Crazy thing is lately youtube stopped pushing my videos. Looking at my back end my numbers have literally been cut in half. About a month and a half ago I was averaging 5k subs every 30 days. Now it dropped down to about 2300. I’ll get there. Slow and steady. I’m trying to figure out what I did to screw things up but I haven’t quite figured it out yet. Either way I’m still gonna make videos because I just like making videos. Thank you for the encouragement. 100k is a life goal. Lol slow and steady. Thanks you Jayvian.
Thread costs - $1 per 1000 stitches is pretty rich when a 1000 met spool of thread costs you $5, that means you are only paying $.04 per 1000 stitches - based on this from Madeira threads - To stitch 1000 stitches in Madeira Classic 40 you will need approximately 5 meters of top thread and 3 meters of under thread. A bobbin holds about 130 meters of 60 wt thread
Been watching your videos for a couple months now, the production quality and knowledge shared is amazing. I appreciate you and shop through your links when I can!
Thanks Allen. I’ve been watching your videos. They are very informative. I’ll be looking at a Riicoma machine in the future. Your videos give me lots of information.😊😊😊
I would divide the price per item. If you have 100 sheets of stabilizer (at $25 a pack -just throwing a number out there) and you typically use one sheet for a job… 25/100= is .25 cents a sheet. So that would be the cost for stabilizer for each shirt. (You can pad the cost as he says)
pad your time aka, calculating in the error percentage to your price. Human error are allowed to calculate upto 15% error. So you will add that to the price.
How much should I charge my uncle for giving me 30 days to learn how to use the ricoma fully and teach him everything I learned. In 3-4 days I learned how to work the machine and do designs but still need to get how to align the design rights
Hi! I’m stuck with this problem and can’t seem to find an answer anywhere. I just got my machine and when I’m stitching out my designs, the shirt is still visible through the thread. It looks as if the colors aren’t being fully filled. Any tips would be incredible!
@Brandy Beddingfield I watched a RU-vid video earlier today and the presenter was talking about Floriani color keep topping. starter. She said it helped the colors be prominent.
Determine the flat fee you charge for set up based off of your competition, how good you are at digitizing and how much your time is worth. Once you determine that price step back and analyze whether or not you think people are willing to pay that dollar amount for set up and digitizing.
Mr wade do you think it’s possible to make a patch that somewhat embroids in a corded like pattern like from corded pants. Not sure if I’m asking this the correct way
You can check companies like alphabroder, or s&s active wear to see what they have to offer. I don’t have prices off hand but i do know that the prices vary depending on the quality of the garment.
