It's not only the proper thing to do. It also is a better experience for the buyer when you go that extra mile to show you care. In return you just could get repeat buyers. Dollar tree is an overall great place. Halloween 2022 lets go!
I picked up a full van load of books yesterday. Most have severe old dirty dust some have spider webs. I'm looking to resell these and I wanted to quickly clean these. How do I clean these? Just dust them with damp cloth? Thanks
I ordered some books on eBay and one had spider guts on the inside of the dust cover. I used alcohol wipes and it cleaned right up. Then I wondered how others clean books, now I'm here.
Hi Katey , just a thought. I live in rural area, closest Dollar tree is 90min away. Wonder if dollar tree best finds would sell on eBay? Or a lot of similar items. 🧐
Maybe? I would focus more on dry cleaning materials like dusters and basic paper towels. Most dust jackets from that era are all paper. Whatever is on paper you can’t really clean.
A remainder mark is a black dot or red line or any kind of marking on bottom outside pages. Means the retail store marked remaining inventory to be disposed.
Use a Scotty peeler, goo gone if dust jacket is glossy, if the dust jacket is paper, I will try a Scotty peeler but sometimes you just have to leave it. Don’t want to damage the book
Can anyone tell me how I can remove an oil and turmeric stain from a book cover plsssss😭😭😭😭😭😭it's my sisters book tht I stained and she will kill me if she finds out, so someone pls help me out💀
@@ashley_miraculous_gacha2085 oh man. First, is the dust jacket paper or glossy? Removing oil from paper in general is hard since the fibers in paper are going to soak up that oil and quickly. If it’s a paperback book I would say you need to just buy her another copy :(
@@KateyReads They are hard back. One is a book from my childhood, published in the 70s. Some others are books I bought for my kids when they were kids so late 90s early 00's.
@@kaidenmoss2151 in that case I would try a Scotty peeler they sometimes will get the residue off. A small dab of goo gone and maybe using a q tip try small little areas at a time until it’s gone. Rubbing alcohol can work but sometimes could remove coloring if it’s leather bound hardcover etc.
If it’s glossy what I showed in the video can work. If it’s paper you can’t really clean that since you can’t get paper wet. Heat gun can work for removing stickers but again use caution if it’s a paper dust jacket, especially antique.
