Hey Everyone Just wanted to share my process with How I Went About when color grading my video from last week. Love the look I was able to get with this grade, all in DaVinci Resolve! Super simple and quick! Let me know if you have anymore questions.

Very interesting ! I would have never guess it was a kodak lut. Personnaly, I would have remove the luminance and sat for the red channel because of the car's lights that are distracting Overall a very nice grade !

Do you feel since using the lut that CST isn’t needed?

@@seans_lifeinthecinema Honestly I didn’t have CST be apart of my work flow for awhile until more recently. So no it’s not super needed but if you’re trying to get the most out of your color grade why not use it! So now I just use it with everything(: but you can definitely still get nice looking grades without CST workflow(: hope that helps!

@@Sasha.GreenVFX it does! I haven’t been able to determining if it’s a needed node or a creative decision per colorist. This looked great and contrasty without it. Thank you!

@@seans_lifeinthecinema Haha yeah I’m also not a professional colorist so take my advice with a grain of salt. I just do whatever it takes to get my image to look the way I need it to look

For built in Film look luts you should convert your footage to cineon log with cst first
