Hi there!! In this video I go through a few different techniques using the Tombow Dual Brush Pens. I show a few examples and use the markers in real time so you can see how to use them. Hope this helps ☺️ Thanks for stopping by! 🤍 Erica
Thank you so much for this…I was literally going to give my Tombows away because I couldn’t get the hang of coloring with them. This helped so much!❤💙💛
You are giving me so much hope today with alternatives to pencils. My poor little right hand is very angry and I need to find ways to minimize pencil use to make him happy again (or at least less pissed off). I find your tutorials helpful. Thanks for taking the time and putting in so much effort to share how you color. I love this series and am saving them to a playlist called “Color Keepers.” 😁😘. (P.S. It’s useful to know which books might be best for the methods you show-extra bonus!)
Thank you so much for these techniques, I needed someone to actually show me how to use my Tombow markers! So helpful! Love your videos. I think I can try this now!
Thank you for this it’s very helpful. I would like to ask you outside of coloring books, did you find what paper the Tombows work the best? Watercolor paper, but I would think it has to be smoother paper so it won’t damage the brush tip? Thank you
Great question!! On most of them, no they did not. But I was also aware that could happen, so I was pretty careful when adding more color. I tried to let the paper dry a bit if I was using the markers as a watercolor. The best paper, by far, was the paper in the Johanna Basford weekly planner (which is still crazy to me) and the Jasmine Beckit Griffith book. The only one I noticed some peeling in was in the Colouring Heaven book, but I think that was just me being impatient.
Paper has a large part of blending watercolor makers. Strathmore bristol works the best direct to paper. You need a surface that allows for the ink to stay on the top and move. Otherwise using as a pallet seems the best.
Wondering what all the hype was with Tombow I recently caved and bought a pack. Did NOT like them at all, I've been using markers for years but these really dissapointed me, didn't blend well and left streaks. Won't be buying anymore. On the other hand Arrtx are fantastic!!! Don't know if you have tried them, they are acrylic BUT no priming or shaking some sets you can use water with some are permenant and they have metalics with brush tips, bought every set for myself for christmas and I've loved every set
