In this video, I'm sharing how I commonplace in my commonplace books. In most commonplace books people usually write down notes, quotes, or any important notes. #plannercommunity #planning #notebook
HI....You are my new favorite. :) I too take care of my mom (87) and also have a 16 year old. I am loving the idea of a common place notebook. I already have love for the pocket size notebook. It is so easy to travel with. Would you think about doing a "commonplace with me" video?
Thank you so much! Thanks for also subscribing this makes my heart so full. I think this is a great idea and I will definitely create videos regarding common placing with me.
I love this video, Estella🤍 The color coding is fabulous, I’m saving these ideas in my notebook. You are such an inspiration, thank you for your efforts with this video!
I agree with Staci. A journal with me would be really nice. Like me, I want to do these things but my brain doesn’t allow me to do it on my own. Everything has to be structured and to make sense . I need to exercise it so it flows another direction
@@TheMinimalSophisticate good morning I so enjoyed this video. Thank you for sharing. I have done and listened and watched so many RU-vid videos on commonplace book and yours is the first one that I think I could actually utilize well I would like to ask you where do you get your stickers? I love how you’ve decorated it. I do like to decorate my planters and journals but I’ve got nothing like what you have. Can you share when you get your stickers? Thanks for sharing your work and I really enjoyed it. Thank you.
Sure. So for my stickers, I use stickers from Paper Minty Studio, Sweet Freckled Designs, Mr + Mrs. Mint, The Style Planner, The Coffee Monsters Co, Emerald Fox Press, and Opal and Fern Stickers.
Oh my gosh.....I read the book Six of Crows.....It is so so good!! The rest of the series is also very good!!! I love your video. You have given me some good ideas. Thank you!!
Love your videos! I struggle not with WHAT to put in there but WHEN to do it. I would love to get a video about your day's structure and if you have a routine, that would be immensely helpful. Also love the idea of doing a Commonplace With Me video some have suggested. It would be great to set aside time and go along with you. Also, the Six of Crows books are my fave. I definitely think they're the better ones from the series. 😂
Thanks so much for watching. I really do enjoy the Six of Crows + I also think they are better. I just finished sharing a commonplace journaling session with me. I am definitely going to share some tips + on how I structure my day when it comes to planning or journaling.
Newer subscriber 🩷 I watched this for the second time this week and I will be starting a commonplace notebook. It's exactly what I wanted/ needed but didn't know how to start. Love your color code. Thank you for sharing and already watching your older videos 😊
Thank you for sharing your commonplace notebook. I loved this video, I’ve got a few ideas and inspiration from you. I love the color coding you do. Such a simple way to organize, complete game changer for me. Love your style!
Basically using circle dots or specific colors to categorize your topics within your notebook or planner. For example, blue is for work, pink is for personal, and yellow is for important.
I removed social media from my phone two months ago and after a decade of struggling to read, I have been reading constantly again. It changed so much beyond reading, too.
Hello! So for stickers, I use stickers from Paper Minty Studio, Sweet Freckled Designs, Mr + Mrs. Mint, The Style Planner, The Coffee Monsters Co, Emerald Fox Press, and Opal and Fern Stickers.
hi Estella, just discovered you & love the video. New subscriber here! Enjoy this time with your Mom & Dad - tough at times but such a gift. you’ve inspired me to return to my Commonplace book(s). May I inquire: what is that small soft cover notebook you showed us? thanks! I’ll be back!
The soft Cover one is from Sweet Freckled Designs (Not Affiliated) sweetfreckleddesigns.com/products/passport-tn-inserts-pu-leatherette-cover-no-coupon-codes also just purchased the Sterling Ink Passport Grid notebook which is another option. Thanks so much for watching and your support.
I absolutely loved this and it was so helpful! I know I was one of the individuals who had asked how exactly you use your commonplace notebook because I’ve seen others use the term “learning notebook” synonymous with commonplace nb. I personal,y would love to start one for all the notes I take from RU-vid videos or podcasts or blogs - any sort of information I’m taking in that I don’t want to lose. However, my issue is I’m afraid my brain wouldn’t like it if I didn’t have it organized in some way! Lol 😅 And the way I picture organizing this is by having a notebook for certain subjects - eg., one for planning where I would write down any info regarding planning that I want to refer back to, whether it’s from a video or an article….and then another book for a separate common subject I research, and so on. Does that make sense? And does it sound like I’m making it too complicated? Lol Thanks so much for sharing this!! ❤
This completely makes sense. I think this is a great idea. You can also have a common theme or subject commonplace book and then organize categories using colored circles or stickers /keys.
@@TheMinimalSophisticate so do you think I would be making it too complicated if I had a commonplace notebook for each topic I typically research - which is usually just planning, productivity, skincare, finances - and then just add like subsections in there, for anything related to any of those? Because my biggest thing is if I want to refer back to something I learned about skincare for example, I wanna know exactly where to look.
@@celiagallegos Hi, I'm the same, my brain wants everything compartmentalized! I used a Traveler's notebook for this instead of a bound notebook that will take forever to fill up. I just started a different insert for each topic I'm keeping notes on and color coded the covers so I know when I go through my archive all the blue ones are for skincare and the pink ones are for food & nutrition etc
@@virginiagriesel3541 ooooh, ok! I love this idea!! I didn’t look at your channel, but do you post videos showing any of this?? And yes I agree - my brain also wants everything compartmentalized 😂
I think that if you need to separate subjects or topics then you can definitely have a notebook for each category. The most important aspect is gathering the information that you need in one place and categorizing it by subject or topics within a subject. So do what you feel is best for you.
Beautiful!!! Could you please link and reference the notebooks you use? I especially love the soft cover one, the first one you talk about on your video. Thanks a lot!!
Thanks so much for watching I purchased this passport notebook from Sweet Freckled Design sweetfreckleddesigns.com/products/passport-tn-inserts-pu-leatherette-cover-no-coupon-codes and the one I recently purchased is from Sterling Ink sterling-ink.com/products/passport-260-page-grid-notebooks-ready-to-ship-updated-grid

Thanks so much for watching and I appreciate the comment. A commonplace book by definition is a book into which notable extracts such as books, poems, podcasts, research, etc. are copied and then add your own thoughts. I break down my commonplace book based on categories but I also include journaling in my notebook.
