So you could take brown kraft paper or 2-3 pieces of tissue paper piled on top of each other; lightly spray glue & you'll have good weight paper to make a pattern. Lay tissue paper (Dollar Tree has paks in white or colors) over the bag & mark with a pencil where to make cuts like around those handles or along the top of the bag where it ends. This style bag should have two pattern pieces, one front, one back. Use pattern to cut out fabric pieces & sew together at the sides (hand or machine). Slide the fabric sheath up over the purse from the bottom up & then deal with the top zipper area. You'll have properly sized fabric that should fit on without any going back & cutting off overhangs, etc. Beautiful fabrics; beautiful bag; great idea.

Very nice idea. I think it looks really great. If I were to try I would probably try cutting the fabric with the holes etc to the correct fit before it apply the glue.
Beautiful work but to hear the same song playing over and over again was a bit too much wanted to leave video so bad. I also wanted to see the end job. So I stuck it out
