It is easy to start getting overwhelm when there are so many choices and you love them all. I love your spreadsheet. Taking inventory is a great way to stop and focus on what you already have. I am creating a Rose Alley along my side garden and my challenge is removing or moving existing perennials in that area. But I have to wait until they get going and what the gophers have devastated overwinter.
Exactly, there’s so many choices and they’re all beautiful! Rose Alley, that will be lovely! Enjoy the process, I hope it turns out great 👍 And hopefully the gophers weren’t to hard on your perennials this year. Good luck!
I am someone who likes unusual, blue or purple flowers, variegated foliage, odd leaf shapes or branches. So I tend to use a small group, dark burgundy foliage with apple green plants or shrubs. Planning a garden is for you, your preference, your ambition about taking care of it, perhaps which fragrances, etc you enjoy. It's your space, for you.
