Yours is a different technique than the way my husband cuts my hair, but it looks like it works for you as you are cutting small manageable amounts versus putting it in one ponytail and sawing through it. My husband sections my hair just behind my ear on each side, then secures it with alligator hair clips, then he trims the bottom section to establish the guide, and then lets my hair down in increments to trim each successive layer to match the guide. Never a bad haircut and I have a few friends that have had him cut their hair. My mom and best friend will only let him cut their hair, rather than go to the salon. Great results and it is free.
I think so, I am saving big $$$, a lot of time, it is so convenient and never a worry about getting a bad haircut. Hubby loves the compliments on his work, it strokes his ego. I tell my friends to keep it low key, but they said that if he can give them a free haircut, better than they would get at the salon, he does deserve to be thanked and that we appreciate him.
