Hey, Lovelies! I wanted to show you all how I take a brand from start to finish when designing their logo. I hope you enjoy this video!! Instagram ➭ / meganweeksdesign Design Requests ➭ meganwdesignco@gmail.com
I have been studying graphic design for the last 6 months and your videos are my favorite so far!🤩I love your flow and the way you design. Very tangible and relatable! I’m looking forward to watching more of your content xo
I love watching other designers design. That's a good trick of image tracing the fonts before the client approves. I usually look for a free demo version. How do you remember which font you picked for that particular logo?
Am a designer based in Kenya and through the video it has really inspired me on how you play along with the leaf and the text for creative designs🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🚀
Thank you so much for the wonderful tips! It's actually amazing to save money for once with all the programs, it does add up! You are so talented! Xoxo
Wowwww. I normally did the same thing of screenshotting to see if they like it before buying but didn't even know I could trace the image for more flexibility! Thanks for sharing.
I'm always watching your videos I just wanna let you know that your videos are awesome and don't focus on numbers even tho you deserve more views, love your videos Megan
I really enjoyed watching your design process and working style! I've always wanted to try drawing flowers and plants, but don't feel very comfortable doing it. How did you approach illustrating in your earlier days?
Great video ☺️ so by saving a procreate file to Photoshop and exporting it as an EPS file as you mentioned, does it become a vector file? I like drawing on the iPad but it’s less fun doing it with the pen tool in illustrator haha!
The content was really good. Though I couldn't catch up because it's fast. what website do you use? and where do you search your Fonts? Thank you anyway! More power!
I'm in the process of learning design and this has helped a lot! Do you create the mood board for the client based off the brief or have them create their own to start?
Hi Megan. I LOVE your videos! Quick question? When you purchase the font file. Do you take this into consideration in your final cost or do you just consider it a purchase tool for your own library?
hi thank you for watching! this video was filmed a long time ago for me in my business now I have the clients buy the font license so it is under their name!
Thank you for the great video! I love your designs :) What kind of tools do I need to learn to become a graphic designer? Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop and Procreate? Is this enough to run a own business?
Thank youuuu! I would say that Adobe creative suite is really great to have and those 3 are perfect to start with. I actually only started with photoshop about 6 years ago and then learned illustrator later but it is now my favorite
What tablet is that, all I have to do is download procreate on any iPad? What pen are you using to draw do I need illustrator for iPad also and what do you use to record screen
rather than just "going for it" and immediately diving into illustrator for logo design, i prefer to do a lot of research into what the company's tone will be and make a lot of sketches in my sketchbook. when i dive right into digital programs such as illustrator, its easy to just pick the first thing that you make on the screen and call it a day. everyone has a different way of doing things, but i would HIGHLY recommend staying away from the digital realm when brainstorming, and just take that time to grab a pencil+paper and start sketching a lot of your ideas out (just some advice for anyone who is starting graphic design!)
This!!! as a professional graphic designer myself it surprised me when she said "just go for it"... I'm used to doing a lot of research beforehand, choosing concepts and tones, the company vision/mission, their target, I even study their competitors (their logos, their color preferences, their fonts, etc. in order to create something that's notoriously different so that it is unique to the brand that I'm working for)... I believe that as graphic designers we're not supposed to design for the aesthetics, instead I think that we're supposed to design with the intent of communicating concepts through images (images as in: illustrations/fonts/color choices, etc.). I 100% agree with you that staying away from the digital realm when brainstorming is better 🙌🏽or else you end up with a logo that looks just like a bunch of other cute aesthetic logos that you can find on pinterest
Omg thank you for responding! I am a new Design VA and I got my first Logo and Branding client so this helps a lot! I’m so nervous but super excited! Any tips?
