Today I designed a pair of my own converse. They are my Mediterranean blue & aqua crystal converse. I absolutely love them!
Watch how I transformed them!
I used swarovski, glass & rhinestone crystals to create the look.

In this video I was using Gem Tac glue. But for most of my newer videos I'm using E6000 glue

Love these! It's interesting how you used the white glue instead of the clear. I would've been afraid the white wouldn't dry correctly. But you're the bomb expert!

Thank you! The white glue I'm using is Gemtac. It's a nontoxic glue that dries clear.

Hi I do not seal the crystals with anything. The glue you apply is what secures the crystals. Also I don't seal because I don't want to risk dulling the crystals with a coating. Hopes this helps you!

Why do you use Gemtac instead of E6000? Does it dry clear orcdoes it cloud the crystals?

I used Gemtac years ago & have upgraded to E6000. I liked Gemtac because it's non toxic & great for children items. But when using it on sneakers I noticed over time (while it does dry clear) eventually any glue that showed turned a yellowish color & that was so disappointing. So I stopped using it.

Thank you! Yes I definitely take breaks. But it depends on how long a project takes. I can sit 3 hrs straight sometimes & finish a project. I'll just make sure I have a snack with me, a show to watch & I'm good 😊

Heeelp! My bride wants burgundy and rose gold bling. The converses are white do I have to paint them first burgundy or would it be ok to bling on the white? I already started the toe 😒Tk you!

Hi, in the future see if Converse has a color similar to the crystals, that will save you time. But what you can do is paint the converse burgundy. Tape off any areas that you don't want burgundy. It's ok if you already started the toe It's how you recover & finish. Best of luck on you project!

I'm sorry A.C. Moore is a major craft store in the US, but you can also find the ribbon in Michael's, or Joanne's. All 3 franchise stores can be found online. I hope this helps 😊

what grit sandpaper 2 u sand with?? and can u use a dremel 2sand and wat grit would u recommend& do u sand the canvas part at all?? or how do u prep tht part

I usually use a medium grit of 100-120. It doesn't have to be too coarse as long as it's able to buff any shine or oils that's good. No need to sand the canvas, I never did that. The glue will adhere perfectly to the canvas.

Hunttty.. Yasssss! I love these! YOU CAN BE EXCESSIVE! Question though, what glue are you using? I couldn't read the bottle. I know it's not E6000 or a tac and is it industrial strength and good in all elements? Thanks. Against great job!

@@Blingionaire Oh ok. You rock'em boo. So talented. I'm learning for myself and I've only done 1 old converse shoe to practice on (can't mess up the verses, lol) and a pair of other shoes but I used 6000. I like this white glue you're using though. I'll get Diva soon, lol. Blessings

Sorry for the delay ladies, the glue I used is GemTac, you can also use E6000 they both have a permanent bond. The difference is Gemtac is non toxic that's why I like it more especially for my baby items. E6000 is toxic & you need ventilation while using it.
