I really like the mascot idea. I can see it taking off where more male vtubers decide to be a cute mascot attached to an anime girl than go with a male avatar. also that milanote site is really useful for planning character designs even from a client perspective
My god you draw so well. I like your style a lot. I've been following your account on twitter and watching your videos from time to time. As an apprentice artist myself I find it pretty daunting to learn all the things that a good drawing requires. Sometimes when I draw my character they feel unatural, or for example my male proportions even if they are more biological accurate, feel too muscular. The devil is in the detail and your videos are really good because they go deep enough so we don't overlook important things, but don't go too much into the depths so that it isn't daunting and demotivating to listen to. Other than learning drawing itself, one very important thing I came to learn is motivation and creativity, and your videos are good because looking at something fresh, relaxing, educational without too much editing is, well, refreshing. You did say that you felt like being a fleshtuber could have been a choice that the community likes more due to closeness, but I your videos, even without seeing your face and character, it still has this sense of familiarity and closeness and I can't really explain it. Maybe it's from the way you talk to the community when teaching and sharing your struggles which are struggles that also makes that feeling of closeness prevail cuz we all have been throught this as an artist. You explain how you were able to counter these problems without exposing them as a list of skills to get or stuff like that, but with a simple discussion if I can say that. One question I wanted to ask is if you plan on making Livestreams since you now have a Vtuber model. I haven't seen a lot of them (drawing streams), but I feel like interacting with the chat, or podcasts, or that kind of stuff could be very fun ! The second question I had is about digital art transition. Maybe I'm blind and there is a video about it in your channel but, were you originally a traditional artist when you started doing drawings for the first time ? If or if not, how were you able to learn/transition on a digital working environment ? Last question is, do you plan on making a discord server or something like that in the future ? Could be nice for artists of different ages and experiences and styles meet and talk about art together, as well as have channels for new video notifications, and other things of the sort. Lastly, I just wanted to tell you that your videos are amazing. As a matter of fact you are one of the very few artists I follow that I actually try to learn from due to my learning goals, due to the style and other things I wanna learn from and reproduce in my drawings. I still haven't tackled the coloring and shading part of drawing since I feel like my bases in anatomy and all are still on a pretty low level, but just the way you draw faces (which is the video that made me know your channel) and bodies and all are pretty neat ! I hope you'll succeed and grow, you deserve it ! (Sorry gigantic text wall you might not have the time to answer but still, hope you'll be able to read that comment)
Thanks for the tutorial Ori!! It was fun watching over your design process of Aira and yourself! Also, I've always heard of the importance of silhouettes but this video helped to demonstrate and highlight simple ways to make an appealing one, such as by using basic shapes within the composition to give it character!
I've been trying to make a vtuber model for a while and my model is almost done, but righing is something thats making me feel like giving up😅😅. Great video as usual Ori!!❤
I've been a vtuber with a catgirl model for a few years now, and yes, I use my natural deep male voice... it's silly and cringe and I probably torment the internet way more than I should. LOL!
49 min ago?! I was just watching your videos oml, I rarely comment but I have to say your tuts are so nice and helpful !! tysm ori and hshshs can’t wait to see this too
I tend to pause every end of the video because I don't want so much stuffs appearing in the screen and I mis-click. But this time, I paused exactly in the transparent around here12:19 👀
2 months in might be a little late, but I'd anyway tell you that I'd be grateful to rig your model! I'm a live 2d artist since around a year. Don't aquire payment, but said psd files to rig on as practice, too :3
Oh wow your character design so well ! She is cute and adorable, by the way I had found a similar Vtuber called "Restia" ,the strong guys are like-minded.
I have two questions did you start on paper or digitally and if so what would you prefer to someone who is starting out to draw anime characters ?(aka me)
This is very interesting & amazing video of making your own Vtuber model. I really want to learn to draw anime/manga style characters as an hobby but I too struggle with procrastination.
I've been trying to draw even a rough sketch of my vtuber/oc... For years... I'm all about designing it myself, but some days I just feel stuck. But I'm still trying my best, even if it's not perfect. I still want to take a shot at it, and it'll give me a character to draw when I don't want to try and draw someone else! I still work hard trying to come up with 'written' concepts of ideas- and I'm getting closer to a breakthrough... I can feel it..!
Since im making 3D models, i was stuck with frontal part of the process for very very long, mostly because i was really not satisfied with the face. Only nowadays i feel that i progressed far enough. Anyways, it is really inspirational to see you progress this far, so i wish you the best!
Thanks to you. You made me enjoy draw even if I still suck I think I left the "beginning struggle" that made me not enjoy drawing now I enjoy it! Thank you for your tips ❤
