I see that you use a LOT of different colored brushes (compared to what I use at least) and I was wondering if you color code them in a specific manner or use the different sizes for different jobs? Or do you just use them separately until they are cleaned/the next job where the purpose is re-designated? If you do use different colors/sizes for different products/surface, how do YOU actually separate them, or how do you organize which brushes can be used and shouldn’t be used in a spec area?

Pan have a question for you. My Camry is now 22 years old. The sits are fabric should I use a drill brush on them? Or a regular brush on them. The regular brush is much softer. There's also fabric on the doors as well. I like how you used a detailing brush and microfiber towel to clean the interior of your new car. Thanks much for the idea. I have Meguiar's Ultimate Interior Clean. It says on the bottle that if you use a microfiber towel it gives a satin finish that's what I'm after. I don't like the glossy finish.

Depends on how dirty your fabrics are, if they’re not that bad, always just use a softer brush, but if they’re really bad, use more aggressiveness so use a stiffer brush, but not too stiff or else you can burn your fabric. Don’t ask me how I know lol

@@PanTheOrganizer The video showing how to take care of microfiber cloths/towels is my favourite. My microfiber cloths/towels were wearing out very quickly. After watching that video, I realized that I was destroying them by washing them in hot water and drying them on the hot setting. I bought all new ones from Amazon about a month ago and have been "caring" for them properly per your instructions in the video. Pan, exterior protection can last a few to several months to several years depending on what is used. How long does interior protection last? How often would you recommend to re-apply protection to interior plastic/ vinyl/leather trim/dash/seats on a daily driver that is NOT garaged? My main concern is UV protection.
@cheferman65
@cheferman65 2 года назад
Use quality products with uv inhibitors, protect it best as possible (sun shade, good UV tint including the windshield, car port, garage) Clean, 1X a week, uv protect 2x a month.
@PanTheOrganizer
@PanTheOrganizer 2 года назад
Manufacturers don't really give us durability claims for interior products so that's a hard to answer question. I clean my car regularly and top off the protection with a quick detailer that has UV protection (like CarPro InnerQD you saw in this video) so regular maintenance is key in my opinion. For the big protection like CarPro PERL, once every three months seems like it has always worked great for me. A leather coating (glass bottle) should last up to 1 year. A leather sealant (like Colourlock) you would reapply every three months.

I have an appointment for 3 February for the first detailing of my 11 year old car. Dude's prices are ridiculously low but the clean cars awaiting pick-up are ridiculously clean and shiny. He does not charge extra for headlight polishing as most detailers. It is a part of the standard 3 part exterior polish. He lowered his interior cleaning price because the undercarpet is alrady very clean. He is overbooked and understaffed. I'm retired but I think I will ask if he wants another body when he moves to the larger garage. Its a nice atmosphere and I wouldd like to work with a team again. I'm dying of retirement uselessness.

Advice please. Have ordered a new 2022 Mustang convertible and want to have it ceramic coated asap. On an older vehicle you say to prep the surface properly to remove dirt, iron, chemicals etc. Then to clay bar the paint for a smooth finish before coating with graphene or ceramic. Is this necessary on a new vehicle? Would I be removing any factory protectant that I shouldn't? Ceramic coating would be applied within days of delivery.

I dilute it 3:1 for regular leather cleaning. If you clean your leather regularly you don’t need a strong cleaner. If it’s coated with a leather coating, even just a moist towel (with just water) is usually enough to wipe.

Hi Pan, congrats on your channel! I am a beginner in car detailing and doubt cleaning/maintaining/protecting the interior. Do you only use InnerQD for details, or do you apply some protectants on top of it? My question is because I have a car with dash leather and don't know if I need to coat the dash, then clean, maintain, and protect it (from the sun). I'm thinking to coat my leather seats with Top Life. But still don't know how to do with the dash maintenance/protect and what products to use.
@PanTheOrganizer
@PanTheOrganizer Год назад
I apply a base protection first, like CarPro PERL diluted 5:1 for interior use, or 303 Aerospace Protectant on plastics and vinyl. That's for the long term protection. And then, when you do your regular weekly or bi-weekly cleaning, you can use an interior quick detailer like CarPro InnerQD for maintenance. On leather, I would first apply a leather coating or leather sealant, and then again, you can maintain that with products like InnerQD. In my Top Life video, I also talk about maintenance for that specific product. Here's the video: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-VMNuRSdSWDo.html

I have used it often on my Porsche 911 Turbo S carbon ceramic brakes, highest performing brakes on the market, with no issues. I always worry that putting anything other than water on my touch screen is a risk of damaging the coating on it. Are most quick detailer sprays safe to use on these? I've never had an issue using water to wipe away finger prints and grime and a dry off with a separate dry towel always leaves it looking fresh and clean. Anywhere i can save time or decrease the amount of steps in the cleaning process increases my profitability. I know its only a tiny step but not having to stop and get a damp cloth to clean the screen then continue with the quick detailer achieves this.
@PanTheOrganizer

I use the Gyeon Interior Detailer all the time on my infotainment display in my Porsche and never had issues. You are only lightly spraying the microfiber towel (never directly on the screen) and so there is very little product on it, and it flashes quickly.

There are many ways to do things Dawn. I just share my way. And yes the WeatherTech products work well on the rubber mats, but you need a cleaner and a separate rejuvenator. A product like the McKee's Floor Mat Rejuvenator does this in one product, and works just as well. ;)

I didn’t use Colourlock in this video. I’m confused by your question. Heyy pan!! I have a question, Does polishing remove or diminish uv inhibitors from the top of clear coat?
@PanTheOrganizer
@PanTheOrganizer 2 года назад
Polishing always removes a bit of clear coat, so the short answer would be yes you are also removing part of the UV inhibitors from the clear coat when polishing. Hence why it's crucial to always apply protection after you're done with the polishing stages. But rest assured, on a new paint that wasn't damaged, it would take a lot of polishing before going through the clear coat or removing enough UV inhibitors to risk oxidizing the paint.

@PanTheOrganizer
@PanTheOrganizer 2 года назад
Thanks John, glad it was helpful. The key to having an interior as pristine as mine is .... you guessed it! Regular maintenance. I showed how I do things on a weekly or monthly basis, so people can stay on top of things. There are no miracles to having a showroom level interior: go out there, and clean it often. But you gave me a good idea for the smaller tips like don't eat in the car, knock your shoes outside the car before you transfer them onto your floor mat, etc. That could make for a good video! What are your sources? According to CarPro, yes InnerQD has a little UV protection, but should not be counted on for main protection. For those purposes, I typically will use CarPro PERL diluted 1:5 for interior use, or 303 Aerospace Protectant. As those last a long time, regular maintenance washes only require a quick detailer like InnerQD to top off that protection. Here are links to those products: PERL: amzn.to/41mbYHa 303: amzn.to/3my9Ayy
