Asiatic lily bulbs in the fall during autumn clean-up in the garden.
The garden produced plenty of asiatic lilies this year. I noticed that a clump of them were growing from one spot only. I am worried that they will get overcrowded next season and won't produce as much flowers. So I decided to dig up the bulbs (from the spot you see at the beginning of the video) to separate the bulbs. My! What a joy to find all these huge and healthy looking bulbs, including a big clump of 12 bulbs! This is how I divided that massive lily bulb clump.
This is so exciting for a newbie gardener!
How do you divide your asiatic lily bulbs?

Welcome to my garden journal I fondly dubbed "Delightful Souvenirs from the Garden."
My name is Maiah, I'm a hobby gardener from the North, zone 4 (hardiness gardening zone) in New Brunswick Canada. I have been dabbling with gardening for 4 years now - that is to say 4 summers - but since the lock-down in our year 2020 due to the sad pandemic (Covid-19), I had the chance to devote more time in the garden - and even do some filming to share with fellow gardeners.
From planting a few tomatoes and peppers in recycled laundry soap bottles to building a raised bed in the backyard, I now have perennial flowers in my front yard too. There is a stone walkway in my front yard I was able to build during the quarantine as well. Ironically, the rest from the world during this sad time has made me more productive in the garden. It, among other things, had helped me become more calm despite the chaos. I hope that feeling radiates to you through my videos and that you may have some kind of peace and enjoyment while watching my little films.
Your time shared with me by watching my videos is precious to me. I thank you so much!
I hope you like my videos. If you do, please considering subscribing to my channel. Please click the thumbs-up and don't forget to tell your other gardening pals of my channel. If you have the chance, maybe you can leave me some love in the comments section below.... Let's keep growing together.
"To plant a garden is to believe in tomorrow."
Yours sincerely,
