I absolutely LOVE the way you break down how to draw eyes! It makes it so much easier to understand versus everyone that just draws it fast and says "draw it like this" with no fucking real way of how to break it down to draw it properly!!
These are the types of video tutorials I love: 1. Straight to the point 2. No forced personality quirks 3. The tutor is just as pissed of at you as you are with yourself.
Best one: The one that is straight to the point but not a boring lecturer, they're actually trying to actively grab your attention while still teaching you.
If you want to draw a non existent creature maybe you shouldn't have suscribed to a channel that uses real references on its tutorials and looked for one that focuses on fantasy creatures instead.
@@jungcookie I did, that's why I answered that, I thought they were being sarcastic since it makes no sense you'll use the basis of a right or a left eye to do a cyclop eye, since the structure would be quite different.
@@lay6771 yeah, that's exactly what I said... Look I'm sorry, I thought it was sarcasm for some reason, it just didn't make sense to me, ok? Tbh I'm not sure what I was thinking, maybe I had a bad day and took it out on her. I apologize for my stupidity. But for real, how do you use the structure of a human eye for a cyclop one? I mean we have these things from where our tears come out (don't know the name sorry) heading to the nose in both eyes, but how do you apply that in one eye? You put that things on the right or on the left? I think that's why I thought it was sarcasm, because I didn't really get how she was going to apply that. But as I said I'm sorry... 😞
facts. my art teacher be going into it all at once not a separate lesson i can't digest it all and so instead i chock and die. but for real tho she couldn't put bull crap in my head
Remember when you made a tutorial on how u sketch the face? Epic you skipped the lips, so now we need a lips tutorial, and since we’ve got 50% of the face we now need a nose one
It’s about time some one does it like this. I don’t need “realistic” and I don’t need “stylised”. Your style will come as you you learn and realistic is just dumb cause it never suits the context in which you need it. This helps
Oh man, hands and hair used to be my mortal enemy, seriously this shit drove me crazy. I suggest watching Xabioarts tutorial. For some reason his stupid vids make a lot of sense of art fundamentals to me
This was hands down the best eye drawing tutorial I have ever seen, and I've looked at quite many! I also never understood what's up with only teaching drawing an individual eye in like every course I take, so I'm very grateful you made this :)
Im not even kidding, ur like the only person that really made me improve with my art! Also, i love ur energy in ur videos, it makes me on a better mood and i get more motivation, THANK YOU
I like how you really think about how to teach people in the best way possible instead of just drawing something pretty and calling it a tutorial😊 You are like the art teacher I always wanted in life😂😊
As a 3d artist learning to draw, I can happily say I didn't cry like a bitch until the twerking. Regardless I really enjoyed this breakdown. I really appreciate the down to earth instruction on the structures. Thanks for hitting all the angles to. Subbed.
Angel, do the same principles apply in drawing oriental eyes? I always keep a mirror for reference but when I sketch, it always turns out either cartoony or not oriental at all.
1:26 "A fifth square" ?!?! lmaooo It's a pentagon, but maybe we should rename it to "fifth square" Edit: Also, is that Cameron Boyce that you're using as reference? Idk mb I'm wrong but RIP T^T
i just discovered your channel, after drawing three "ok"-ish eyes doing exactly what i'm not supposed to do. what you said is incredibly accurate. you really know your shit. i love you : D
Honostly, I would love to see your approach to eyebrows and expressions. My skills are poorly lacking in trying to convey facial expressions in characters. And your approach to these subjects is always so detailed in the right fundamentals. I appreciate your explanations, thanks!
That intro KILLED me. This vid was from a year ago but after watching just the whole structure thing you said in the intro i just had an urge to watch all your vids (i will👌) and comment for the first time. Never been so eager to check out somebody’s channel before.
I am grateful for this video 🙏 It actually helps unlike many other garbage ones who only pretend that they intend to help I still have one problem tho, I can draw somewhat decent atleast tolerable eyes when face is the only thing that needs to be drawn and i have a large amount of space But when it comes to the full body, i have very little space in the face and cant draw any half decent eye I can just zoom in if the drawing is digital, but for the moment, I need to draw with a pencil If you have anything that will help me get rid of this problems, then I will be really grateful 🙏
Finally !! This is EXACTLY what I was looking for. I have been looking at so many tutorials and have been trying extremely hard to change the way I draw eyes, and to find a way to stylize my work. I kept trying to look at references and couldn't figure out what the problem was and why I couldn't get what I put on paper to look right. The videos Ive found have all been the same thing over and over and it never helps me to improve. This is gold!! I don't ever really comment but I felt I had to this time. Thank you so much! Cant wait to check out more of your videos! Subscribed!
your method is the easiest one so far for beginners, i was able to understand and follow very easily. thank you so much you also made me laugh a lot sjsjjs
Gosh man you got all the freaking fucking reason all my portraits skills get better for just watching your tutorial and now I actually understand how a face work with all the details not just the simple basic man now your my god
I am curious. If people liked everything you draw and likes weren’t an issue what would you draw. Would you stil draw only pretty girls or would you draw something else?
Thank you, I was actually about to gouge out my eyes looking for someone to cover the basic fundamental planes of the eye/eyebrow area; and also the basic structures of an eye. Not "Draw a curve like this.", no wonder all my eyes look like creepy alien shits. Been studying a lot of Andrew Loomis and Frank Reilly, but a lot of RU-vidrs glance over the eyes when mentioning these methods. Thanks for this, helps a lot.
Ok ngl the start of the video kinda weirded me out, but then i kept watching and i saw how enjoyable this content is, and how passionate he is for art and teaching. Like where have you been all my life??
