Thanks for 100k views guys!! xoxo Check out my newest video where I dye my hair red with Splat hair dye!! ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-u1nojw7zcLE.html
I kept my midnight indigo dye in for a hour and a half and it turned out very dark and it lasted 3 months before nothing was left of the color. The only bad thing with Splat is how it dyes my shower. I use a magic eraser and some rubbing alcohol and it comes off though.

Im about to do my daughters hair in the front only because she has been begging me, and I don't know how it will effect her textured hair type!! And I'm just so scared I'm gonna try it
splat is originally fabric dye apparently, it's really pigmented tho so i love how it makes my dark brown hair look so colorful. i would suggest using vaseline or grease barrier to prevent the splat from getting on your forehead or behind your ears. also it looks best on prelightened or brown hair, so if you have black hair i suggest a non harsh bleach on the pieces you want colorful. remember that roots process the fastest for bleaching so start at your ends, make your way up and do your roots last if you're bleaching both your roots and your ends. i'm gonna try dying my hair with some conditioner diluted splat and i'll tell y'all how it turns out, my goal is to make the splat less staining and still have a good consistency to put the dye on.
Hey I've done hair 18 years (licensed cosmetologist) but I've only used 'professional' brands.. BUT I want a bright purple, I'm broke right now, sooo, I have level 4 dark brown hair, should I bleach it first you think or does the splat turn pretty purple without bleaching??
@@karanowlin9506 I've changed Dye brands, I now use adore hair dye it works wonders and is only about 5$ with tax included per bottle. african violet is a beautiful purple color but I strongly suggest lightening your hair beforehand for that real POP of color to show through.
Hey ya'll thanks for giving this video 400+ likes!! Let's get it to 500!! Also I have a new updated video dying my hair check it out here ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-h0WN9_AsJig.html Please give it likes and subscribe!! xoxo
I hope I don't meet u in real life cuz ur voice is soo damdam cute😍😍😍🤬. Awesome content, good video and descriptive. I am guy but still gave me some security tbh...
I just bought this hair dye and I’m thinking of returning it because of the bad reviews I’ve seen but it looks so good on you that I might try it lol Did it fade to a pink color ?
Really? What did the bad reviews say? It does fade to pink over time like months later but that's why I mix a little bit of blue in it to make it look more blue toned so as it fades it still looks purple. My only negative thing about it is that it can stain everything if you're not careful. But it's dye, that's what it does lol
Thank you!! My hair hasn't gotten damaged because I only bleach it if it's healthy and strong to handle it. You can always try only bleaching a small piece of your hair first to see if it reacts well if you're not sure. The purple can take more than 6 months to fade out, but I think that also depends on how long you let it set on your hair before rinsing it out. I usually leave it on for at least 3 hours.
I have dark hair but I don’t want to risk bleaching it since I’m doing it myself. Do you think I’d still get a decent purple effect if I don’t bleach it?
That doesn't come from using metal utensils. It comes from not mixing the correct amounts of bleach and developer or leaving the bleach on for too long or the product in the box was sitting on the shelf for too long! ALWAYS check expiration dates and ALWAYS reach to the back to get the product you want! Unless the product sells out fast , NEW products are put to the back first! That's one bad chemical reaction you don't want!
Lol my hair hasn't falling out from using this, and I've been using it for years. Just make sure your hair is healthy enough to handle bleach. If you're worried you can always try it on just a small patch of hair first to see how your hair reacts to it.
Would love to dye my ends this color! My hair is already kind of a brass color due to me dying it honey blonde back in June. Do you think I would still need to bleach it before dying? Wish I could add a photo to show you the color. TIA! Love your videos 🥰
I don't think you need to bleach it. It should be light enough for the purple to show up well. If you seen my recent videos the ends of my hair were lighter from that last time I bleached and dyed it. I just recently dyed my hair a red color with no bleach and it shows up very vibrant on the ends. I will be uploading a video on that soon! :)
Check out my new video on how I straighten my hair!! I'll have a new video on dying my hair soon! Thumbs up and subscribe!! xoxo ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-UkzZ674ryGM.html
Never mind haha I was watching this video without sound. Now that I watched with sound realized that you said that large bottle was an empty bottle 😂😂 def going to mix these two colors thank you for this great video!
Hi Seana, I'm getting ready to do a Splat Jade Green, but I'm worried about damaging my bathtub. Many of the reviews (other RU-vids) noted that when they rinsed their hair, it turned their bathtub/shower the color of the hair dye. How did you rinse your hair? Any suggestions? Last year when I used a deep red Splat, I had no problem with the rinse, so I was surprised at the new warning on the package and the reviews, pics of colorful bathtubs! Now I don't know how to rinse lol!
Hmm, I just rinsed my hair in the shower. It hasn't stained the tub. And If there are any stains they are very light and I just spray bleach cleaning spray over it and leave it sitting there and it's gone.
There was enough for what I was using it for. And there was a little left over. I don't cover my entire head from root to ends. But it's possible there would be enough if I were doing it that way.
No, I make sure my hair is already healthy enough to handle bleach. And then don't leave it in longer than need to. I also deep condition after the bleach.
As a stylist and being in hair care. Omg Splat is not in. I have had to help so many people get Splat off of them. One lady I felt the worse for her neck scalp everything was purple and it was the day before her mom’s funeral. She came to me and was like never use Splat. I said ma’am if you’d came to me before I’d have to you not to go to Splat. I mean I heard all horror but to each Is own I’m not telling anyone what to do. Just saying what I’ve seen through Splat users
i bleach my hair and dyed it purple with splat last week and i really dislike it and i just want it to go away already...also when it fades away will my hair be blonde because of the bleach of more of a brownish color because of the purple?
@only Me @Haizek Haze - Well I only used the purple one in lusty lavender and it lasts a pretty long time. It slowly fades out over time but with lusty lavender alone it turns pink after about 6 months. Plus the longer you leave the dye in, the longer the color lasts. When I mix it with a little bit of blue like I did in this video, it will be more of a blu-ish purple, and stays purple even longer, so as it fades out it still looks purple but lighter not pink. But now they have other shades of purple that are more blue toned, haven't used those. But basically your hair will have some color for a very long time
i'm about to dye my hair this color in a few days. would i be able to use this dye on damp hair? i've dyed my hair when it was damp before but i've never tried this brand so i want to make sure.
The directions say to dry the hair first. My hair is mostly dry when I put it on. If it’s damp it very slightly. So I guess it may still work if it’s not too damp.
The color takes very long to fade out, especially depending on how long you let it set when first dying it. I also sometimes use a shampoo or conditioner that's meant to help maintain colored hair. I used the one by herbal essence, it's in a pink bottle, it's called Color Me Happy. It smells so good too! Also after about 6 months, if the color is not as vibrant anymore then I just re-dye it.
SEANA SPARKLE I dyed my hair green and I use the same shampoo the pink bottle and yes it does take a long time to fade today I’m gonna dye my hair with lusty lavender also🙃
