We install a full M4 Street Slayer Carbon exhaust on this beautiful 2016 GSXR 1000 and go in depth with an ECU flash and dyno tune. Come with me as I walk you through and explain EXACTLY what we're doing to get the bike to sound great and make respectable power!
Let me know what you think and what you would like to see in future videos! Like, comment, and subscribe! It is greatly appreciated!
Thanks
-Eric

Love the video!! I was just curious the style filter you guys used? I downloaded the "ripped" and "arm pump" filter and neither made my arms look that swollen...

😅😅 you gotta get the wode lense camera. Adds about 3" to your arms, chest, and gut 😂

Great video. I love it. Do you think need tune again for E85 fuel?
@provenpowercycles
@provenpowercycles Год назад
If switching fuels, then yes, I highly recommend getting a tune for E85. Especially when going to an alcohol based fuel vs a gasoline based fuel! 👍👍

Hay bro I'm just curious did you switch it to a mode when you dynod it or did you just leave it with modes off
@provenpowercycles
@provenpowercycles Год назад
We don't switch the modes when dynoing typically. Whenever you restart the bike, it should start in A mode even though it doesn't pop up on the dash 🤙

What do you look at on Woolich when correcting the amount of fuel needed. As in points or percentage you need to correct the afr per cell.
@MrThecrx
@MrThecrx Год назад
If you want to adjust by a percentage then i would use lambda values as it makes tuning heaps easier once you get used to it . 14.7 afr = lambda1 . Lambda .90 = around 13.2 . So if you were at 1.1 lambda and were targeting lambda 1 you are 10 percent out .

Different tuners utilize different methods on tuning. Ve tables are usually manipulated by percentage rates but again, different strokes for different folks 🤙

Would a longer traditional style muffler gain mid range?
@provenpowercycles
@provenpowercycles Год назад
I'm not entirely sure. I would need to compare the same bike on same day with the 2 different exhausts in order to make a fair comparison. However, I have seen on different models different power curves with a different style exhaust. I'd like to do a comparison video on the different types of exhaust sometime in future!

@Proven Power Cycles M4, etc, make both under and normal vs Cs racing make the under-body like the old Taylor mades
@provenpowercycles
@provenpowercycles Год назад
@Matt Bonham so I can tell you that most (not all) exhaust style like Taylor made don't make the best power because they put in an additional box or cat like setup under the bike. It creates turbulence and messes up the flow causing torque and hp loss in low to mid range areas.
@matt99943
@matt99943 Год назад
@Proven Power Cycles yeah CS racing has a dyno vid showing good overall HP gains, but don't show the results very well. They run a muffle where was was then large out pipe

What would be the power output in the crank?
@SquidOnGixxer
@SquidOnGixxer Год назад
Also how these bikes are sometimes faster than the modern bikes with so less bho
@provenpowercycles
@provenpowercycles Год назад
Usually there is a 13-15% drive train loss when measuring to the tire vs the crank. And there are a ton of variables when comparing how one bike is faster than the next. Examples are the overall weight, torque, and aerodynamics.

Hey Quick question...what times do you think its gonna run in a quarter mile with the 173hp...by the way great content👍👍👍
@provenpowercycles
@provenpowercycles Год назад
With an average rider and being that this bike is a stock wheelbase and stock height, it is probably a mid 9sec to Mid 10sec quarter mile👍 and thanks man I really appreciate the feedback!🙌

Where did you get those gxsr frame sliders?
@provenpowercycles
@provenpowercycles Год назад
I'm not sure. The owner of the bike had them on already when he came in.
@SquidOnGixxer
@SquidOnGixxer Год назад
What would be the numbers in the crank
@provenpowercycles
@provenpowercycles Год назад
196-199 whp. Normally we have anywhere from a 13% to 15% loss when measuring to the wheel vs crank.
