Vivian, this is gorgeous! I especially love the "frog" closure made with satin cord. Now I need to go dig through my books and find one I bought about 30 years ago that has instructions for making many decorative closures and trims from cording and soutache braid. I have trouble following written directions, but seeing you actually making this helps so much! I remember this book had some great ideas. I absolutely love hearing your sons playing in the background, and that you don't mind when they need to ask you something. I wish more parents were like you, and put their families first. I often see parents who ignore their children, or demand that they always be quiet. Those kids either become withdrawn and unhappy (that was me) or they constantly act out and get in trouble to get the parent's attention (that was my brother). The most well-behaved children know their parents love them and are there for them, and they live in happy homes like yours. ❤ Learning to sew as a child saved me. I was very lonely but when I discovered the joys of creating, I didn't mind so much. My grandmother gave me her old Kenmore sewing machine when I was eleven, and it became my best friend! I have a stack of already sewn circles with 2 kinds of fabric I was going to make masks with, but found a better pattern that was more comfortable. Now I know what to do with those! I have enough masks now anyway. Your wonderful projects are giving me lots of ways to use up a lifetime stash of fabrics, buttons, trims, etc. I have all the materials I need. I'm making small projects to eventually sell at craft shows. I need to make some money so I can take my pets to the vet. edit: I love the idea of using this to make a phone pouch! I'll just add loops at the top corners. I made one that I added a soft thick cord to so I could wear it around my neck but I like this design better. It's safer that way and doesn't fall out of my pocket. I have a small farm with goats and chickens. Years ago I had a naughty little goat who loved to play keep-away. He would grab something out of my hand and run so that I would chase him. He did that with my phone one time, and my son and I both chased him until the goat finally dropped it when he got tired. Takes a lot to wear out a frisky little goat! We still laugh about that goat, and the time he ate my son's homework so I came to his school and showed the teacher pics of the goat, and the remains of the homework hanging out of his mouth. She let him make up the work, and she got a good laugh! He was appropriately named "Dash".

I love the knot thing you made with the satin cord! It's so pretty, especially with the multicolored cord. You make it look easy to do. I'll have to try that. I've been meaning to make an envelope type thing to put my disposable masks in, to store in the car so I always have a fresh mask with me. This wallet looks like the perfect thing to use. I'll use a bigger circle so it's big enough to fit my masks.
