"Tito tapped, Fedor quit, Jon jones broke a toe n had to sit" That song that played at the end of those videos sometimes a while back , would've been perfect here loll
Chael... He understood how to grab an opportunity better than anyone in MMA, and when opportunity knocked he did not just open the door, he kicked them open. This is the art of paying attention to the spirit of the times.
How did you end up fighting jon jones? Avg. ufc fighter: “I defeated successive elite martial artists in single combat climbed the ranks through blood and suffering.” Chael Sonnen: “Waved at an imaginary waiter”
Chael just misunderstood the rules. He thought if the referee stopped the fight in a round it just meant he lost that round, and then they would start the next round. Lol
The humiliation of his loss to chael is what started his downfall. Imagine the internal turmoil of having to try to see yourself as a man after fighting him. It destroyed him...
Jon had prayed about this fight with Chael, he was thinking about it when he was volunteering at the homeless shelter, he asked the children with terminal cancer at the hospital what they thought, he asked the senior citizens at the local retirement home if he should do it... he walked the streets at 3 AM asking whoever he met in alleys if it was a good idea... they all said no, so he was following his team's advice like a humble man, a true seeker of wisdom and understanding.
Honestly appreciated chael's humility here. Calling the two guys studs and acknowledged them for giving him the rub as well as his honesty about going into fighting jones. And just the way he was talking about himself here seemed pretty down to earth.
What the fuck is honest about this video? I think he is just trying to make it seem like they stood a chance against him in the cage. Chael was just too much and that is why Jon has that one loss on his record.
I was a fan of yours before this fight. The way you fought Anderson and the fact that I’m from Oregon certainly helped. But this fight, in my book, made you a legend. Everyone was fighting Jon like they were scared of him, much like how contenders were fighting Silva. The bell rang, you marched forward, grabbed the back of Jon’s neck and just started LAUNCHING uppercuts. That was possibly the ballsiest thing I’d ever seen.
Chael Sonnen the type of guy to convert one phone call from Dana into a TV ad spot, TUF coaching job, a title shot with Jon Jones, phone number of the TV executive boss lady - all while coming off a loss at middleweight. Legendary stuff!
I was just taking a trip down memory lane and watching this fight. It still amazes me the strength of chael to this day, Jones should be paying the ref monthly as a thankyou for his life.
I never said this because I always went along with the "unedefeated" joke, but when Chael beat Silva's ass and lost in the last 30 seconds, it broke my fucking heart. At least now Chael is undefeated on RU-vid.
Cheal loves steroids, he never talks bad about cheating, even though you think he’s the type of guy to be totally against it. Also steroids is probably how he made 185 like dillashaw Cheal looked like a bag of bones
Hey Chael, Since you have fought both Anderson Silva and John Jones during their prime, who is the better fighter? Or, who is the best fighter you have ever fought?
He didn’t just fight them, he absolutely destroyed them in every faucet of the game. He made Jones run over a pregnant woman for god sakes! He gave away the title to Chris ’Still my boy’ Weidman on top of that
Damn this channel is Gold. Im an enterpreuner, I do some kickboxing and Im fan of fighting, but best thing here is the advice of promotion and how to handle and actually create oppoturnities in business :)
@@TheOriginalArchie No, If you are talking about Henderson vs Silva, he had a good 1st round, but was not really hurting him, just some hammer fists after the takedown. The 2nd round was pretty 1 sided.
Jon Jones needs Nord VPN for real life. Damn cops wont leave him alone. Its so unfair a multi millionaire athlete cant get drunk and fire his handgun in a packed neighborhood without the damn police harassing him.
I'm going to subscribe to you because your videos are very enjoyable and honestly I like seeing new ones when I'm scrolling for something to listen to lol ty
I remember when that happened and how big of a deal it was. Dana was so pissed at Greg Jackson haha. I love the extra context though with the Fox commercial thing.
When he was saying lies about Jones on Twitter i called Chael out on that. Chael sent me a PM on Twitter saying "How bout this PHUCK YOU!... How bout that, get a pic, get a follow, stake a lesson from the maste" Greatest thrill of my life.
What a ballsy move to improve in that spot. Not many people would have done that but those are the type of risks you have to take to get people to notice.
You crazy sob, I’ll give you credit. Something I noticed about that was the fact that you actually bluffed Jon into insecurity,he was genuinely afraid of your takedown when the whole time he was the greatest fighter that ever lived.Hahaha shit that is Ironic by definition big bro.
